Friday Fragments....

Happy Friday!!!  Of course, I'll be working 10-hour days the next two days, but we LOVE Mayfaire by-the-Lake.  Wish you could be here to see how great it is.  We have been named  #62  in a list of the top 200 fine art festivals in the nation.  Proud of that!

The Mayor's Prayer Breakfast was very nice yesterday morning.  I was blessed to have been invited to attend by one of our Board Members.  My boss went too.  It was well attended, and Norris Burkes was the speaker.  I downloaded two of his books after hearing his talk, and one is FREE today, for your Kindle.  See the link for him to see his books.

The gospel quartet was really great!

It was a well attended Prayer Breakfast.

Suitcases come out tonight and the packing will begin.  Laundry will take place over two nights, after Mayfaire ends.  Fortunately, we don't have to be up at the crack of dawn on Monday, to start the drive to New Orleans.  I told Joe I would leave my computer at home.  He said ....you know you will want to blog!!  Take it with you!  Bless him.

Old friends, Hattie and Murph, dropped in yesterday.  Murph used to work at the Museum in my department.  They moved back to Michigan when they retired, to be closer to family.  They always come back for Mayfaire, though.  It is always good to see them!

So, on to Mayfaire!  Wishing you a good Friday!  Peace & hugs,

  2. Good to hear your Mayfaire is so popular and your friends come back for it. It's funny that people usually move to Florida, not back up north, when they retire. It's also good to hear you'll be taking your computer to New Orleans too. There is a TV programme called People from Madrid Around the World, and recently they were filming in New Orleans. I think they've shown quite a few from the States, including Kentucky and Ohio I think. Hope you're having a good day.
