Anyday Meme
Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we try to credit the blog that we stole it from. We also provide a link to the victim's meme in our "Previous Victims" widget. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") Sometimes we edit the original meme, to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, to select the best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from this new meme or recently asked questions from a previously featured meme.
Cheers to all of us thieves!!!

1. What is your dream career, and what path do you plan to take to get there? My dream career was architecture, but I have loved the path I've chosen and am now just looking forward to retirement.
2. Who do you aspire most to be like? When anyone says I remind them of my mom, it is such a compliment. She was very strong, loving, faithful, faith-filled, devoted, creative and so patient. If I could be half the person she was, I would be happy.
3. What do you like in a best friend? Someone I can trust, who respects me and is fun to spend time with!
4. Do you currently have any squishes (people you really want to be best friends with)? No.
5. What is your ideal platonic relationship? I'm not even sure what this means. Every relationship I have, other than with my husband, is platonic.
6. Best late night IM/phone conversation story. People know better than to try to reach me late at night unless it is an emergency.
7. List one person you’d like to wear the sweater of, one person you’d like to bake cookies with, and one person you’d like to drive around and get lost with. (can be celebrities or fictional characters, has to be three different people and not all the same person). I would wear any family member's sweater, but will say my sister; I would love to bake cookies with my mom again; Joe and I have lots of fun driving around and have gotten lost more than once! LOL
8. Describe your current best friend(s). Well, Joe is my #1 best friend and you all know him. Cindee, Shirley, Helen....Elaine, Karen. I'm so blessed and have written about all of them here.
9. What is a strange, little-known fact about you? Strange? Little known? Haven't a clue. I even asked Joe and he couldn't come up with anything either.
10. What is a career you wanted to have when you were younger, and still kind of want to have now? To be an architect.
11. If you could have tea and pleasant conversation with one person, who would it be? Abraham Lincoln. There are a lot of people I could mention, though.
12. If you had a time machine, what era would you go to? The mid-1800s, as long as I didn't have to stay there indefinitely. The 1920s would be interesting too.
13. What celebrity or historical figure would you love to have as your best friend and why? I can't think of any celebrity who would be best friend material. Historical....Abigail Adams.
14. What fictional character would you love to have as your best friend and why? Stephanie Plum, because she would keep me laughing.
15. If you could have one wish, what would it be (cannot be related to romance or sex)? To win the lottery, because I could help so many.
16. If you were trapped on a deserted island and could only take one item, what would it be? A very sharp knife.
17. If you could pick one career other than the one you are pursuing/plan to pursue, what would it be? This one just keeps repeating....architect.
18. What is your best memory you have with a friend? Too many to name just one and I'm still making memories with friends.
19. Do you have any peculiar interests that most people don’t know about? Peculiar? Can't think of anything.
20. What were your favorite childhood toys? Do you still have them? I had a Barbie doll, but can't say it was a favorite. I liked playing outside and making up games or climbing trees. My favorite things were always books.
21. Favorite baked good? Custard pies.
22. If your best friend were here right now, what would you do with them (cannot list best friend as your romantic/sexual partner)? If my BFF Elaine was here, we would go looking for antiques or consignment items.
23. Who would you love to play video games with? Not into video games. I'd say my grandson Tristan, but he would not have fun....I'm not good at video games.
24. If you could visit any country, which one would it be? Since I've been to Italy, I would like to visit Scotland (or Ireland or Germany).
25. Are there any friends you miss having around? Elaine, Karen, my sisters.....

Thanks for checking out my Sunday meme. Wishing you a great Sunday! Peace & hugs.
Fun post to read this morning, Terri. Such a sweet tribute to your mom! I too love architecture. and when we travel, I tend to take way more pics of architectural detail than of people. I'm trying to get better...
ReplyDeleteThat was fun to read, Terri. I would like to travel to Scotland, Ireland and so on. Have a wonderful Sunday. Blessings
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Terri! Enjoyed reading your post this morning. I have always been intrigued with architecture. I've joined some Facebook pages that feature Detroit's architecture...so interesting. #20 doesn't surprise me. Don't you wonder how many books you have read over your lifetime? Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteAs always, a lot of your answers would also be mine. We're from the generation that found it more entertaining to be outside than playing inside. I used to have to play video games with my oldest nephew when they first came out. He would make the baseball bats and tennis rackets so small that I couldn't even see them let alone hit the ball. It's sad that so many kids nowadays would rather play video games than open a book.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Sunday.
I am going to try and keep up better with blogs - - - especially since I will be gaining an afternoon - - sort of - - - tonight is the last night I am teaching the two year old Awana class at church. It goes on a school year schedule - - sort of. Most Sunday afternoons have had me preparing for their crafts which can be a bit time-consuming when you consider they cannot cut stuff out yet! I have enjoyed it but it has taken extra time I did not have. However, I have fulfilled the commitment I made them at the beginning of the year and I feel very good about that.
ReplyDeleteI love reading the answers you give to questions - - helps us learn more about you!
