Monday Mishmash....
This past weekend was sweet. We both got some projects done (including the laundry!) but relaxed for the most part. The next couple of weeks will be crazy.
I am happy to report that the stress at work last week is behind us. Friday's Finance & Operations Committee meeting went well and we can move forward to our new fiscal year! Praise God. Now on to the stress of Mayfaire, which isn't nearly as bad! Mayfaire just happens. It's a well-oiled machine, thanks to our two festival gurus who work at it all year long.
We are very excited about our vacation/anniversary trip to New Orleans next week. My long-time Multiply blogging friends may remember Vic and photos of his lovely garden. He lives north of New Orleans and we are planning to meet him and Tina one evening while we are there! I love meeting blogging friends in person!! If we can work it out, there will definitely be photos!
We spoke with my grandmother yesterday and she is doing great. She will be 96 next month!! God bless her. She is still sharp as a tack. This photo was posted on Facebook. She was gifted with goodies from a minor league baseball team that is local in the Dayton, Ohio area. She told us all about it when we talked. She loves baseball and can talk the game with anyone! Her team is the Cincinnati Reds.
I also spoke with my sister yesterday. Bruce is doing well, and is still making progress with his therapy. She said they see doctors today, tomorrow and Wednesday this week. The doctor told them that the catheter may take another month or so before it can come out for good. It sometimes takes five or six months and it's only been four. Trusting that he isn't just saying that! We are planning to go up for a visit the first weekend of June, which is also Tammy's birthday.
I get my hair trimmed tomorrow. I think most of my color will be gone. Roots are easy to hide when you have curly hair, but tomorrow is going to tell the tale. I'm inclined to let it go natural. The last time I tried to do that, it was such a dirty, ugly color that I gave in and got the foils again. One way or the other, I'll be stuck with it until we get back from our trip. Color is not happening before we go!
On to this busy week! Thanks for checking in! Peace & hugs!

ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful time on your trip. New Orleans has a special place in my heart. While on a college choir tour I fell in love in that city. Whenever I see pictures from there I get sentimental. I truly thought he was "the one" but we didn't stay together long, but parted friends and I've kept a special corner of my heart just for him. I'll be looking forward to seeing your photos.
