I posted yesterday that I had a meeting to attend last night. My church women's group meets the third Monday of every month. I am so blessed to be back at our old church, serving with good friends.
We have fund raisers all the time, including a 50/50 drawing. Last month, I won the 50/50, but gave my winnings back to the group. Last night's winner did the same. It is not much (+/- $20), so it helps the group to leave it in the treasury. There was a raffle going on for a beautiful quilt. I bought 6 tickets for $5.00. The drawing is at the end of November. I don't imagine I'll win, but one never knows. It is made from purples, and purple is one of my two favorite colors. Our speaker was from a local women's center for pregnant women. They need a new ultrasound machine. I gave money toward that too. It was an expensive night!!
I had a prescription ready at Publix tonight, and there were a few things on the shopping list. Do you have a shopping list in the kitchen? I have one of those magnetic note pads on the refrigerator and when I notice we need something, I jot it down. We stopped at a favorite BBQ place for some dinner before shopping, so that was nice, to not have to cook (yet again!).
Our granddaughter, Lauren, loves pandas. I found this webcam site and sent her the link. She emailed me today that she loves it so much, she is making it her desk-top background. It has been fun to peek in at the pandas, so I will share it with you: http://www.sandiegozoo.org/pandacam/index.html
I hope you have had a good Tuesday!! Thanks for stopping by. Peace, love & hugs.

My women's group is called Ruth. And we just had two new baby pandas born here! sandie
ReplyDeleteYes, I do keep a magnetic notepad on my refrigerator and write down things as I run out of them. I was putting them in my phone at one time but it's still easier for me to use paper and pen.
ReplyDeleteI too have a magnetic shopping list on the side of the fridge. I hate a cluttered front of the fridge so hide it. Now if I could just get Old Man to write things down when he uses the last or almost the last of stuff. Grrrrr
ReplyDeleteCute pandas. I try to keep a list of things we are out of but I usually drive off without it!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet, and I pray you win that quilt. If I had been there, I would give you my raffle tickets for the quilt.
ReplyDeleteI saw the cutest panda picture I have ever seen the other day.
xo,
Sheila
We have a list on our fridge too. Cool link with the pandas. They are so cute :)
ReplyDeleteMe? Making a list then forgetting to take it with me. And I'm at the store, thinking....thinking...but invariably I always forget something.
ReplyDeleteLove pandas myself. I have several stuffed ones. :o)
I love purple too and hope you win the quilt. Quilts, especially homemade ones, are so lovely and really brighten up the bedroom. I know how much I love my quilt made from our mother's house dresses.
ReplyDeleteI have a magnetic board on my fridge too. Tomorrow I'm hoping to find time to go out and buy a few things I need.
I have a magnetic notepad on my fridge too but I hate getting to the store, only to realize I left the list at home.
ReplyDeleteI hope you win the quilt. I tend to go a little overboard when I go to places with the raffles and tickets, but if it's for a good cause, I don't feel so bad.
Hee hee, I forgot it would still be dark when I clicked on the panda cam! I'll have to wait for your part of the world to wake up! :)
ReplyDeleteWe order our groceries online and have them delivered by the supermarket now (v popular in the UK, all the supermarket chains do it now!) so whenever I think of something, I just add it to my basket on the app on my phone. I'm fairly certain it pushes our shopping up though, because I add biscuits & cakes whenever I think of them!!
