Random Five Friday....

I don't do the link, but I like the idea, so here are my Friday Random Five tidbits:

  1. Tonight is our Members' Opening Reception, for the two new exhibits that open to the public tomorrow. I've peeked in the galleries and can't wait to spend more time looking at the art! Joe is meeting me here. I think Helen and Cheryl are also coming. A big crowd is expected, which is great.

  2. I think we are going to go over to St. Petersburg tomorrow, to visit Mazzaro's Italian Market. It's been awhile since we were there. They opened a new store, too, that we haven't seen yet. YUM!!

  3. Our Lucy kitty is pooping on the floor. It has happened 4 or 5 times over the last few weeks. We thought it was her, but I caught her this morning, so no question now. Vinny, or new male cat (one year old next week) intimidates the other cats when they go to the litter boxes. I don't know why he thinks he needs to watch the others go, but he is always right there. Lucy takes it too seriously. Not sure what we can do to fix this. I can try moving the 2nd litter box, but that won't keep him from being right there. Sigh. Hope it runs its course. Today, she went behind the couch for the 3rd time. She has also gone in the guest room bathtub, and in the guest room. We closed those doors after the clean-up, so I guess behind the couch is her favorite spot now.

  4. Day two and still no one has mentioned my new glasses. I guess we all see each other all the time, and a subtle change like glasses just goes unnoticed. Makes me wonder what I've missed on other people!! I don't need a compliment, but a comment would be nice!  LOL

  5.  I got my BIG bank reconciliation done today (I have nine to do each month). I can't tell you how hard it is to do, now that we have two credit card merchants, two different on-line ways to buy, and five other credit card machines in the building. Credit cards break my back. I have to enter each one separately, not by batches. I was missing two purchases that happened down in the Education office. He found them for me, but only after I did research for about three hours, trying to track down the batch, the date and the specific amounts.  Once I had the exact amounts, I knew it was payment for workshops, thus Education.  It's done, though. Praise God!!!

Now - on to the weekend!! I wish you all a blessed evening! Thanks for stopping by.  Peace, love & hugs.

  1. Really sorry to hear about the cat problem. At least poop (firm) is a little easier to clean up than urine, but neither one is welcome. Hope everything works out soon. I'm not sure people really notice things like glasses unless it is a drastic change.

  2. I remember back on Multiply several of us would do a Friday 5. I always enjoyed all the posts.
Poor Lucy. Maybe put up a privacy screen around her box? hahaha Just joking. I hope you can find a solution.
Sorry no one has commented on your new glasses. I think they're very attractive.
Hope you have a good weekend.

  3. I always wonder when no one notices something I think makes me look very different. I too wonder how much I miss?
    Poor Lucy!

  5. Our financial secretary at my "retired" job would occasionally send out emails asking who charged X amount at Y location on Z date? Purchase orders are supposed to be submitted for everything - - preferably before the transaction - - but even after is okay - - but no purchase order at all makes the financial department less than happy.
We had that same problem with our 14 year old cat - - - started the same way as your problem with a male being aggressive towards her during her potty time. So she began liking bathtubs - -(not acceptable to me) but then went after bare floors. I was livid but my husband is too kind-hearted and would clean it. We put down doggie pee pads and she would use them. This week during construction she has been shut in the LARGE cinder-block lighted basement with the other cat - - - - lots of comforts down there. She decided to use the litter box again. Weird animals. However the aggressive cat has since died. Do what my daughter (with five cats) does - - - google the problem and you will see a solution.

  7. #1 and #2 sound wonderful! And then I got to #3. :-( Poor kitty. It sounds to me like she's not going to get better. Is there any way you can separate them? Then, on to your last point: I admire anyone who can work with accounting. If I had a nightmare, accounting would probably be the subject. I think you're amazing!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Terri.

  8. Well no one has noticed my glasses either - over a month - lol - I guess they blend in.

And I am so sorry about your cat - that is a problem which is sort of okay unless it is lose. lol

    Have a good weekend.

  9. I would still try to move the litter box and/or add another one. Maybe a trip to vet just to rule illness out? I hate when no one notices something you think is a big change. I'm always afraid it's because it doesn't look good and no one wants to say anything. But usually I think it's just people don't notice. Have a good weekend!

  11. Thanks, Terri. From now on I'm going to try and be more observant of the people around me. I'm one of those guilty ones who sees nothing different in a person unless it's something quite unusual.

Googling the problem or finding the answer a different way, I hope you're able to discover how to get Lucy to use the litter box again .
