Monday....
It was sure hard getting up this morning. I am usually awake before the alarm, but not today. That awful sound jolts you awake...horrid!! I was dreaming something - remember that it seemed stupid, but I have no idea what or why. I rarely remember a dream.
I've been posting invoices nearly all day and now my shoulders are in knots. A little sympathy, please...or not. That's okay.
Obviously, I don't have anything new to write about, but I did take a couple of "selfies" today, of my hair color. Now, my hair has always been blonde, but the grays are coming through. I tried to let it go natural, but my hair was just lack-luster and dirty looking. Not a pretty gray at all. SO, as I reported yesterday, I had it done again. I like it very much. My hair is naturally curly, which I have never liked, but I have made peace with it. I just let it do what it wants to do...basically I don't care much anymore. I keep it shorter, and it is manageable. So, here are the photos I took.
I like that the back has more dark in it, and the front, where the gray comes in most, is a little lighter. Hoping I won't have to go back for a couple of months (at least). The curls help to hide the roots, when they start to grow out. That's a plus!
Something that was said on Facebook today, reminded me of Rod McKuen. Do any of you remember Rod McKuen albums, from back in the 60s? He is a poet, and made albums of his poetry that young teenage girls swooned over (at least my friends and I did!). He is still around! I Googled him, and found a new poem, unpublished, that is about getting older. I can't reproduce it, but I will give you the link to the poem. http://www.mckuen.com/poetry/age.htm
So, there you have it....the most exciting things I have to share today! Thanks for checking in, and I wish you a good evening!! Peace, love & hugs.

My back is in knots today, so I feel for you! I like your hair style...wish I had a few curls to hide the greys better! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI love the color...you did the right thing! I have worked a little harder today than usual, and my shoulders are tired too....maybe it is just Monday!
ReplyDeleteYour hair is lovely. We've been in the yard working and have some sore muscles tonight!
ReplyDeleteYour color looks great. I really need to color mine. Seems like every day I find more gray.
ReplyDeleteMy sister runs off to a massage therapist everytime she gets those knots from her art workings. I have had them too and reiki actually works for me. I do not understand it but it works. I also like your lighter shades interspersed at the front, and at the back too.
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks great! I wish I had a little of that curl. Mine is pin straight and quite uncooperative!
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks great! You've got the right idea for sure. I quit fighting with my hair as well. I figure, if one gets the right cut, the hair shouldn't need much other attention.
ReplyDeleteI hate an alarm clock! That noise, no matter what kind it is, isn't good for my nervous system. :)
ReplyDeleteYour hair is very pretty. I like the curls and the color in the top photo. Ash blonde. I used to do my hair in that color, but now I'm totally natural, straight and gray, which is more white than gray, so I've left it go, but I keep thinking of going back to the ash color.
I vaguely remember Rod McKuen, so I'm going to go read that poem.
I hope you're having a great day.
I was thinking your curls must help hide the grey and having your hair short must make it easier to manage. At least another Monday has passed. Thanks for the link.
