I didn't get a post made yesterday. By the time I sat down, it was just too late, so I'll catch up on both days now.
I posted this photo on Facebook last night, and wanted to share it here, since I'm not connected to everyone from Blogger, on FB. Vinny was 'watching' the hockey game with Joe, and kept trying to capture the players. He finally got frustrated, and went behind the TV to see if he could find them! It was really very cute! He is a smartie.
I got my hair colored yesterday morning, by a new person. My co-worker and friend, Kalisa, has gone to Carol for years and keeps trying to get me to make an appointment. Two other friends also go to her. She is a licensed hairdresser, but works out of her home, rather than in a salon. She has professional fixtures and equipment set up in what was a carport. She did an amazing job! I am very happy with it. Her home is quite interesting. She has a 'dog' that is part wolf and part chow. He is beautiful, and just a big teddy bear. She also has a prairie dog! Yes, a real prairie dog, and she is cute as can be! I got to hold her, and scratch her tummy...amazing!
We went to the 4:00 Vigil Mass at church, last night, then out to eat. We both wanted to try someplace new, for a change. We decided on Fish City Grill, which is in our Lakeside Village shopping area. It is a chain - do you have one near you? I have been there a few times for lunch, but had never been for dinner. It was quite good, and we were both happy we went. Joe and I both had the farm-raised cat fish, waffle fries, and apple cider coleslaw. Delicious! We were too stuffed for dessert, but sure were tempted with the turtle cheese cake.
Did not set an alarm, so slept in until almost 8:30 this morning. Made a nice breakfast and we read the Sunday paper, then got busy cleaning - and clean we did. It feels so good to have that done!! And yes, the laundry is in progress. Sports on TV this afternoon. I am making chicken cutlets for our dinner. One of Joe's favorites. Will also make some mashed potatoes and a veggie to go with the chicken.
Hope your weekend has been a good one!! Thanks for checking in! Peace, love & hugs.

Sounds like a nice weekend. Imagine holding a prairie dog!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're happy with your hair colouring. She must really love animals. I've never met anyone who had a prairie dog. BTW, I saw your photo of Vinny on facebook. He is a clever boy! I remember when I was little thinking there were people in the radio. I took the back off one looking for them. Good thing Vinny didn't do that!
ReplyDeleteOur cat tries to get things on the tv too, but has never looked behind it. Too funny!
ReplyDeleteI think you need to get a picture of the dog and prairie dog to share the next time you see her!
Vinny is such a cutie. Sounds like you are having a nice weekend. Enjoy the rest of it :)
ReplyDeleteWhat color did she color your hair? I need to get something done to mine too. You cat was cute trying to play with the TV!
ReplyDeleteThree shades of blonde, Sandie. Foils and three shades to help disguise the gray.
DeleteI bet your hair looks great and not phony. I gave up dying and streaking my hair when I retired 7 years ago.. It is a blessing actually to just go grey. I kind of like my steel gray hair now it is all grown out. I am back on line but don't plan to actually write a blog more than once or twice a month, unless something exciting happens.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a very pleasant weekend. I hope your week ahead is just as nice.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you were pleased with the new hairdresser. Us "Carols" are good. My specialty was color too.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of Fish City Grill but I sure wish we had one. I love fish, could eat it 6 days a week, but we don't have any around here where we can get some good fish.
Hope you have a good week ahead.
