It is Friday Eve, Ya'll...

Thursdays are almost as good as Fridays!

I found out, a few hours ago, that we are getting company tomorrow! It's all good, but I will be cleaning house and getting beds made up tonight.

People we know, from Naples, are coming up to see one of our local colleges. Grandson Tristan's best friend, Brett, is interested in attending Florida Southern College. FSC is just a block from where I work, at Polk Museum of Art. I got a tour all set up for them tomorrow. It really works out great because this is the weekend for the Lake Mirror Classic Car Show, here in Lakeland, and they are classic car buffs, too. It should be fun, if not a little hectic.

The neighbors' cats are doing fine. We've been taking care of them, bringing in the mail and newspaper, etc., while Bob and Ginny are on vacation in New York City. They get back tomorrow night, late.

I don't really have much else to report. Glad my day at work has gone well. I put a beef roast in the crockpot this morning, so dinner will be mostly done when I get home. That's also a good thing, since we will have work to do, to prepare for guests!!

I hope your day has been good and I wish you a good evening and Friday! Thanks for stopping by! Peace, love & hugs.

  2. I never been to Naples - but I have heard it is beautiful like the south of France - is it?

  5. Going off to college and leaving home is such a big exciting step. How do you cook a roast in a crockpot? Wouldn't it end up like stew?

    1. It was so tender it fell apart. Delicious. Some water, an onion cut into quarters, seasonings you like (I used garlic, salt & pepper).

  6. Reading about the university reminds me of the Spanish TV programme that visited Lakeland and some students who were studying at the university. Too bad they didn't show your museum.
