Thanks so much!

Thank you, dear friends, for all the good wishes and for your prayers.  It feels so nice to have your encouragement and to know that you care!!

The seminar today was really good, and the best part is the location. My Multiply friends may remember that I attended last year and posted a few photos.  It was at the Columbia Restaurant, over in Ybor City (Tampa).  Delicious Cuban food. They give us breakfast AND lunch - buffet style, including dessert. All the good eats, plus lots of good information for non-profit accountants.  I don't need CPE credits (continuing professional education), but CPAs need so many each year.  I got my Joe an invitation, so we have been attending together for several years now, and this year, we also wrangled an invite for our son, Joey (he is also a CPA).  So...FREE 8 hours of CPE, free food, and lots of good information. Win, win, win.  (Darlene had to stay home with the animals.)

My BFF, Elaine, send me an email today, with the following link.  These photos are old (early 1900s) photographs that have been restored.  The detail is absolutely amazing in all of them.  The clarity is mind-blowing, and the subject matter so fun and interesting --- take a look if you have time, and let me know which is your favorite.  I absolutely love them all, but especially the beach photos, and the faces of the newsgirls.

Hope you have had a good day!  We go to pick up Tristan tomorrow!  Peace, love & hugs.

  4. I'm glad you had a great time at seminar. I love b/w pics. Those were awesome! My fave was the speeding train with the horse wagon running along side on the road. Have a great weekend!

  5. I'm glad you had an enjoyable time at the seminar. I started looking through the pictures, but I'm going to have to come back and finish them, the morning is getting away from me. They are fascinating and I'm enjoying them very much. So far I don't really have a favorite except my heart did skip a beat when I saw the Pike's Peak summit...lots of family history there!

  6. It's great when continuing education is also fun due to location or presentation or getting to be with people you enjoy! Unless it's too late, do you have pics of the dogs for us?
I, too, went to look at some of those amazing old photos. It's hard to pick a favorite but I kind of like the working men and guys in uniform because their "ordinariness" of their lives shines through.

  7. So happy you enjoyed the seminars and to have Joe and Joey there made it extra special. I absolutely loved the old time pictures and it would be hard to say which was my favorite. Thank you so much for sharing. Hugs

  8. Thanks for the link. I love old photos, and once I found a page of old photos of Madrid. However, the page has since disappeared. Of the photos I saw, I really like the old riverboats, like the ones that used to go up and down the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers. I'm going to bookmark the page on my ipad.

Glad everyone had a good day yesterday or hope everyone did.
