A Somewhat Lazy Sunday!


It was nice to sleep in this morning. Woke up around 8:00 and Onyx was on my pillow! He is eating, and acting normal again. Makes my heart happy!! Of course, we are still waiting to hear about the test results, and hope that there is a diagnosis and treatment for him!

 I did dust and vacuum around, and spot mopped. We cleaned pretty good last weekend, so it was an easy once-over today.  The last load of laundry is in, and Joe and I enjoyed a dip in the pool and sat in the sun for awhile reading. It was a good afternoon!  I made pasta with Italian sausage for our dinner (his request.) 

 Joe is talking to our son, Jeff, as I am typing. We will probably hear from Joey later, too. Happy Father's Day.  Hope all the dads in your lives had a good day, too.  My dad was remembered with love, and missed as always.

 I need to ask for your prayers, please.  My mammogram was two weeks ago. They called last week, to make an appointment for an ultra sound on my right breast. I know that it is usually nothing, but I also know that sometimes it really is 'something'. I'm not worried, but I am a little anxious.  My appointment is at 3:00 tomorrow, so if you think about it, please whisper a prayer for negative results.  Thanks so much!

    Sounds like a nice day. Pasta + sausage sounds yummy. I'm sure your tests will turn out fine. Waiting is the hardest part. Hang in there

    Glad you had a restful day at home and that Onyx is seemingly better. I will most definitely be praying for you as far as the ultra sound goes. God knows all about it and I will pray He puts His arms around you and gives you a good outcome and peace. Love & Hugs.

    I will definitely remember you in prayer. Hopefully the picture just wasn't real clear the first time. My mammogram is Friday afternoon.

    Our older daughter was at the emergency vet this morning with a lethargic feverish cat. Tests there are expensive but she had the option of fluids and an antibiotic shot for the cat with a follow-up at her regular vet's office in the morning. The good news is Silver is doing much, much better this evening. Silly kitties worry us too much sometimes. They get a grasp on our hearts.

    I will be thinking of you this afternoon and I'll say a prayer for negative results. My daughters and I get those "shadows" on a mammogram and they turn out to just be cysts that disappear on their own. It does scare a person.
    Good to hear about Onxy's improvement. Keep us posted. Isn't it funny that we all have taken such an interest in him too -- because the little guy is important to you. ♥

      Thanks, Carol. Your prayers are appreciated! Onyx's test results came back all normal, so the Vet is stumped and we are too. She wants him back in three weeks for another steroid shot and a vitamin B injection. Hope he continues to eat and improve! Thanks for caring about my little fur-baby!

      I appreciate the prayers! We have wondered about allergies for Onyx, but the Vet doesn't think that's it. Stumped!
