Before my dear friend, Linda, reminded me that this can be 'Thankful Thursday', posting things we are thankful for, I read an email post about gratitude and how it can make us healthier. These two things go together quite nicely. I really urge you to read the story in the following link. It is worth the extra few minutes.

So, on this Thursday (not in any order, but just what comes to mind right now), I am thankful for:
- A job that I love, working with people I love;
- A great lunch at a new restaurant with my boss and another co-worker today;
- That I finished payroll this morning (and that we have a payroll to finish!);
- A husband who brings me so much happiness;
- Family and friends (including YOU) who keep me grounded and make me feel loved;
- A car that is comfortable, gets good mileage, and keeps on running;
- Being able to have pets at home;
- Living in a country with freedom to worship (or not) how we want; and
- My health, even with bumps in the road now and then.
Have a good evening and a great Friday!! Peace, love & hugs.

I love posts like this! You are very blessed! Love and hugs!
ReplyDeleteLike Kris, I love your post and love positive thinking people, of which you definitely are. Thankfulness and gratitude go hand in hand. We are so blessed to have friends here that "gets" us, like you, and Kris too!
ReplyDeleteI thought this line was very interesting: " the gratitude exercise increased their goodwill towards others, or more tehnically, their "pro-social" motivation." That makes so much sense. Thank you for your list. I think we forget sometimes how blessed we are, and it's a good idea to actually write it down. I'm going to do that! And yes, like you, the list could keep going.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteSometimes we need to remind ourselves of how much we have to be thankful for. Thanks for the link.
