Well, two days of laying low (one day in bed) and being consistent with the cold medicines has put me back among the living. Good thoughts, well wishes, and prayers from my friends have been awesome, too!
This 'thing' has been unlike any cold I've ever had before. Usually my colds start with a sore throat and runny nose. This one started in my sinuses (thought it was the pollen and pressure changes) and went right to my chest. I've been taking Mucinex, Benedryl and DayQuill. I'm still coughing a bit, but am up and getting the laundry done.
This is probably going to sound silly (ridiculous, maybe), but I wonder if I got this crazy thing from our cat, Onyx. We all know that colds and viruses spread by touching our eyes and noses with our unclean hands. A few days ago, Onyx - the cat who has sinus problems almost continuously - sneezed in my face, and I didn't get my eyes closed in time to miss some of it (Ewwwww, TMI). I thought at the time - oh great, now I'll get your cold. Well two days later, I get this weird 'cold' that is unlike the one Joe had, and no one else at work has been sick. Seems crazy, but I wonder if it is possible.
My sweet husband, Joe, has been wonderful. He did the grocery shopping and has brought dinner in Friday (Chinese) and Saturday (Subway). I've told you he doesn't cook, but he is very good at take-out!
Onyx and Lilly have been hanging with "mom" and here are some photos I captured:
Lilly loves to be under the covers, and Onyx is on my lap as soon as I sit down.
I'm going to catch up on blogs now. Thanks again for all the good wishes! Peace, love & hugs.

So glad to hear you are feeling better and pray it continues til you are 100%. Joe is a keeper for sure! Your fur babies are just beautiful and attentive.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're better. I usually have sinus problems and generally keep a runny nose in the winter. I imagine it would be possible to get a cold or something from an animal. Looks like the cats were taking care of you too!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's silly at all... yes, it's possible to get a virus like that from your cat. Onyx just have to wear a mask from now on. hahaha I'm glad you're feeling better. Continue getting well.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of Joe to take care of you like that. I like that kind of care.
Hope you have a good week ahead.
Glad you are feeling better. That's nice that your kitties are keeping you company. Great pics of them. Hope you keep getting better
ReplyDeleteSuch cute kitties. Glad you're feeling better. Gotta love a man that is that helpful. lol
ReplyDeleteGreat to know that you are feeling better. Love your cats. I think it might be possible to catch something that way.
ReplyDeleteYou sent me off on a research jaunt to check out whether we can get or give cats colds. Most sites said no. That doesn't make sense to me.
ReplyDeleteAwww...so sweet!
