Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 648
1. Egg on your face, putting all your eggs in one basket, a good egg, walk on eggshells, nest egg, or a tough egg to crack...which eggy idiom currently applies to your life in some way? Explain I'll pick 'a good egg' because my life is full of good eggs. I am so very blessed by the people in my life.
2. April 7th is National Beer Day...are you a beer drinker? No. I have never acquired a taste for beer. If so, do you have a favorite? Beer-battered fish, beer bread, beer can chicken, beer brats...which one sounds good to you? Have you made any of these? Beer-battered fish sounds best to me, but I have never made any of those things mentioned.
3. Do you have siblings? What's the best thing about being your sibling? If you don't have siblings, what would you say are the pros and cons of being an only child? I am the oldest of four. I have two sisters, 6 and 9 years younger than me. My brother was three years younger. He died of cancer when he was 48. My sisters know I love them and am always proud of them.
Patti, Randy, Tammy, and me (a very long time ago!)
4. How do you feel about floral scents in products? Do you have a favorite? Strong floral scents give me very bad headaches. I do not have a favorite.
5. What's one thing in your home that begins with the letter G that you would say is a keeper, something you'll hold on to? Tell us why. I really miss my garage from my old house. This house... garlic. There is always garlic in my pantry and refrigerator. Garlic makes everything taste better... garlic and butter!! Garlic is a reach, but that's the best my brain could do. LOL
6. Insert your own random thought here. We had rain all day yesterday. Susan and I were out our doors at 7:30 to start our morning walk, and it was raining. We said "good morning" and "have a nice day"! So much for getting my steps in yesterday. Perhaps today!! I'm not complaining because we really need the rain.
I don't like beer either, even the scent is bad. I'll take wine! But I do coo with beer and I can tell you that beer bread is good. :) So is garlic!
ReplyDeleteNice picture of you and sibs!
My mom always said Bob was a good egg and my sisters still tease him about that.
I love that photo of you and your siblings, Terri. So glad that you are finally getting the rain you need, too. And Danny always, always uses garlic in his cooking. Really love how it adds so much flavor to food. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteOh I love garlic, too. "G" is a hard one but the first thing I thought of is "The GOOD book" A bit of a stretch especially since I rarely call it that.
ReplyDeleteI like a beer now and then but wouldn't classify myself a beef drinker. I like it as a cold beverage with Mexican food on occasion - maybe once a year. The only think I cook with beef is corned beef once a year. Oh, we have used it in a BBQ sauce.
Enjoyed your answers. 🌻
I didn't get my walk this morning because first thing I had to go back again!! to the tire store to have yet another nail taken out of a different tire. I'm 3/4 now. No idea what I drove through, no obvious construction or road works. It's testing our patience though lol. We had a rainy weekend and it was needed. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a good picture of you and your siblings. Yep, garlic is goood !!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are getting rain...we are getting some, still not as much as we need, but I'll take whatever we can get. I love the picture of you and your siblings. They were all blessed to have YOU for a big sister! We don't drink beer, but I do buy the beer battered frozen fish patties from Gorton's. They are good. And sometimes we get the beer brats from Johnsonville Brats. I don't think they taste any different from the other ones, however. LOL. I hope you have a good rest of your week. I hope it keeps raining.
ReplyDeleteTwo thumbs up for garlic and onions! I like to come around behind Tom after he's finished frying onions and scrape the skillet (lol). Like you, I prefer flowers keep to themselves outside where others can enjoy their aroma.
ReplyDeleteNice you have sisters left. I like garlic, but it doesn't like me. I don't like beer either. Hope you get some more rain - after you walk.
ReplyDeleteMy husband said we got some rain but not a lot; glad your yard can get a good watering!
ReplyDeleteOhh! And you are a good egg too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful photo of you and your siblings, so sorry about your brother.
Garlic is a great answer, I feel the same about it. It adds a little something to a meal to make it something special.
I'm so sorry about your brother! I struggled with finding a G, too, until I thought of my gas stove. As always, I love visiting your blog!
ReplyDeleteHaha your garlic is far less of a reach than my "g" item. Garlic is a great choice. It's one of those things that I say you measure with your heart, not the recipe.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your answers......haha..garlic...yes, that will always be something I have in my house too.
