April 7th: A Tuesday 4 from Annie's Archives

Annie is taking a break this week, so this is from her archives in February 2020...
She suggested we pick an old one to revisit!

Odds and Ends Tuesday 4

Welcome to Tuesday 4, invented by Toni Taddeo and kept up in her honor and memory.

Let's think about some situations you might run into.
The art of Mary Petty for New Yorker covers.

1.  You're having a lovely dinner party for friends and family.  What will you serve for appetizers, main course, and dessert?  My "go to" is usually Italian.  Baked ziti, a green salad, some garlic bread, and something light for dessert.  I don't usually serve appetizers.

 2. Snow storm!    You've got house guests and you're all stuck inside for the night. What do you prepare for dinner.  Will you watch a movie? Which?  A big pot of chili is always good in the winter.  I would put on "Nonnas" again!  Love that movie!!

3. We are going to New York City for the weekend. Where do you want to go?  Been there, done that, and don't care to go again.  Sorry.  Too crowded.

4. You are going to night school.  They offer courses in writing short stories, painting,   piano or guitar lessons, simple home repairs, baking, and gardening.  Which do you pick (or make up one of your own) and why?  I quit piano lessons too soon (I was 12) and would love to learn to play, so I'll choose piano lessons, please!

Peace and Hugs!!

Sing us a song, you're the piano (wo)man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright

  1. Ohh! Dinner at yours sounds good!
That Nonnas movie is a good one and I think I would choose the piano lessons too.

  2. I'll take your ziti anytime - it's the best! And follow it by watching the Nonnas. You've brought me some good memories today.

  3. Danny loves Italian food, too, since he grew up with it. I love when he makes his homemade pasta - nothing like it! Blessings, Terri!

  4. I loved that Nonnas movie! Judging from the state of our old(er) home, I think I'd have to opt for a class in simple home repairs. It's always something!

  6. Those questions and answers are so fun!! I watched Nonnas this past winter for the first time and LOVED it!! It seems like ages since I've had anyone here for a meal besides our kids and grandkids. I think about it, but never seem to actually act upon it. I would probably serve a soup and bread and fruit and ice cream.
