I hope you all had a beautiful weekend! Mine sure was. We even got a nice rain late in the evening. We need rain badly!
On Saturday, I went to Publix for some last-minute things I needed for Easter dinner. I mainly needed fresh fruit for a fruit salad, and ended up with strawberries and blueberries. They made a great bowl of fresh goodness to go with everything else on Sunday. Yum.
Church was beautiful. We entered in darkness, and then the lights went on, the curtains were dropped from the windows, and we sang Christ is risen! He is risen, indeed!! I got to be a greeter, which was extra special for me!
At home, I took some photos before anyone got here and then didn't give the camera another thought. My bad. My friends Mike & Mary Ellen, Cheryl, Shirley, and her son, David, were here. Gregory texted that he had a bad migraine and couldn't come, so there were only six of us. Everyone took leftovers home with them. There was plenty of ham and everything else. I still have enough for myself for the next couple of days. Blessed. So blessed.
I just love it! So did my guests.
I used it for my centerpiece.
I had texts from granddaughter Lauren, her mom, Kathy, my sisters, several friends, my son Jeff, and I spoke with my son Joey! Yesterday was his birthday.
The week ahead is not too busy for a change. I can get back into my more normal routine with cleaning and projects!! Speaking of projects, my great-niece, Jackie, is coming for a visit next month, and she is an expert at Cricut!! She is coming to get me started with my Cricut. I (of course) want to have some fun things planned, too. We are also going to talk about a trip to Nashville in the Fall!! FUN!
My sister-in-law, Jo Anne, is coming for a few days later this month, so I also have that to look forward to!! Good stuff ahead!
Thanks for your visit today, and wishing you all a blessed Easter Monday and week ahead!!

Your Easter weekend sounded wonderful, Terri. The bunny wheelbarrow is darling and the wood piece gifted to you by Pamela is a beauty. Have a relaxing week!
ReplyDeleteYour Easter sounds so nice! I love the idea of entering church in darkness and then having the lights go on.
ReplyDeleteWe've so enjoyed the tomb from Pamela. I'm going to hate taking it down, think it will stay up for the week!
The bunny wheelbarrow is so cute and more special because of the family connection.
I love that Jackie is coming and giving you cricut lessons. You'll have such fun!
It sounds like you had a really lovely weekend! Your Easter decorations are beautiful. How great to have an expert Cricut user to be coming to give you some tips.
ReplyDeleteYour Easter decor looks great, Terri. (I forgot to get a single picture, too.) If word's not already gotten out, Terri's is THE place to be!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it nice to have something(s) to look forward to. I appreciate you letting us watch over your shoulder! Hugs!
I have to agree with Myra that your Easter decorations are lovely, Terri. I hate to sound ignorant, but what is Cricut? Inquiring minds want to know - LOL! Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteIt's a cutting machine that allows you to make signs, tshirt designs (iron on), cut-out cards, vinyl lettering for glassware, etc., etc. Click here: https://cricut.com/en-us/what-is-cricut

ReplyDeleteOh, it sounds like you had a wonderful Easter. I love the idea of entering the church in the dark and then singing Christ is Risen! What a wonderful way to start the service! Your decorations are so wonderful. I love the rabbit wheelbarrow, and of course, I love the Empty Tomb! You did a great job of decorating it appropriately! I love the idea of the white linen cloth around the cross! I may borrow that idea next year. Sounds like you have some fun days ahead when your friend/sister in law, etc., come for a visit. I am curious to see what you are going to be making with your Cricut machine. Have a wonderful rest of your week. Happy Easter Monday!
ReplyDeleteYour table looks so nice! Love the yellow napkins. I have a similar resurrection tomb like the one Benton made - they are everywhere at the spring craft shows around here. I'd like to get a big one for the front yard! Thanks for sharing your very special pictures.
ReplyDeleteTerri, you always outdo yourself! Everything looked so nice! I'm sure the food was amazing too because you're such a good cook! Looks like you're not going to be slowing down at all with upcoming visits which I know you're looking forward too! So happy that you'll learn how to use your Cricut!!
ReplyDeleteDear Terri, your tablescape is gorgeous. Sunny, inviting and heartwarming 💕 ❤️
