Happy Friday, blogging friends!!
I've had a quieter week, but not necessarily a boring one! If you read my blogs earlier this week, you know that I bought a new bed on Tuesday and it will be delivered on Monday. I saw my primary physician on Wednesday. He was happy with my lab work and was pleased that my UTI was being handled by the urologist. He was pleased that the heart holter thing I did the week before showed nothing concerning. I also got my annual medicare work-up. Always fun. I passed.
Thursday was Bible study. We continue with the Gospel of John. The Mas Verde group went to my favorite Italian restaurant, Il Forno. There were eight of us this week. A couple of the ladies wanted to go to Marshall's after we ate, so we piled into my car and went shopping for about an hour. I purchased a couple of cute outfits for a baby shower next month and a pair of capris for me. That was fun!
Today I need to do a little cleaning and go grocery shopping. My sis-in-law, Jo Anne, will be here on Monday for a few days. I don't have anything planned yet. We can play it by ear.
I will end with a few photos...
My walking buddies yesterday morning...
I will leave it there. Wishing you all a blessed weekend ahead!! Thanks for your visit!

Glad your appointment went well with your primary care, Terri! You and your walking buddies are so tall. LOL! Super picture! Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi to your walking buddies! I love the shadow shot. Your pond shot is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGlad for the good report from the doctor.
Have a great weekend!
I love the shadow picture! I am glad your physical all went okay. That's always a relief when all is said and done.
ReplyDeleteI need to do that-look up a few of my earlier homes. We moved a lot after I got married. 16 times in 40 years. Each of my 4 kids think of a different house as their 'childhood' home.
Have a great week-xo Diana
Loved all your photos, Terri, especially the one of you with your walking buddies. So clever! I did enjoy seeing the house where you grew up and learning more about it. Sadly, I can't return to the home in which I grew up as the entire neighborhood was bought out by developers who turned everything into townhouses/condos. I guess the only thing certain about life is change. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI am glad all the medical things went well and there's nothing to worry about. It sounds like great Mas Verde group get together. Fab photos!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've had a good week. I love the pictures of Casper and Vinny. I love to watch cats sleeping. They look so sweet and innocent. LOL. I do like to go back and look at houses we have lived in. The one where I was born in Pennsylvania is long gone...it burned down quite a few years ago, but at last information the barn was still standing. The house I really grew up in, (Tavares), is still there and I have shared pictures of it before. Since we've been married there have been too many to count and I can't even remember all the addresses, but I have looked up the ones I could remember. It is fun to see and wonder what the people living there now are doing and if they knew I was looking at their house! LOL. Love the shadow pic with your friends. Fun. Love the fountain. I hope you and your SIL have a great time next week. I am sure you will. Glad you feel better!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy revisiting the old family homes I lived in as a kid, and with Zillow I can sometimes even see interior photos. In my genealogy research, I also love exploring where my parents lived and other places connected to my family’s past.
ReplyDeleteYour cats are gorgeous. I love the way they sleep.
Oh, I am so glad your monitor showed nothing at all. It was exactly one year ago, I had to wear that holter thing for close to a month. It showed nothing but since I have a tendency to pass out then decided they needed to find out why. So, they put in a Loop Recorder implanted in my chest. I am monitored all the time. When I have a symptom, I can use the app on my phone to record it. Crazy, as far as I know they haven't picked up anything yet even with the symptoms. I have to keep it implanted for another 2 years or till the battery wears out. I don't even think about it anymore. It's the size of a paperclip.
Anyway I guess these modern medical advances can help; then again, I can't help but wonder if it is just another new TOY for the medical profession to play with. All for medical science, I guess.
I hope you have a lovely, beautiful weekend with your boys!
Dear Terri, I am so glad the appointment went well. I like the shadow photo. I love all your photos, dear friend. Vinny and Casper are precious and adorable. Please give them a hug from me.
ReplyDeleteYes, I love Googling my old addresses to see what they look like now. Bonus points when it's been sold and I get to see the real estate listing's interior photographs.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the thumb's up doc's report. Once upon a time I used to take that stuff for granted; not so much anymore.
Love your shadow shots!!!
Your walking group looks tall! Kittens look like they are resting. Hope you like your new bed. Enjoy your SIL. So you book of John - do you have a study guide you are using? I want to story John this summer and looking for one.
ReplyDeleteIn 1986 my family visited the house in upstate New York where I lived in 1956-1958. The huge front porch where Sister and I used to play on summer days was GONE, replaced by a much smaller aluminum [thing]. I can't tell you how disappointed I was. Some things are better left alone, I guess.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo you shared here of the pond and fountain in your community. It is very pretty.
