December 27th: The Saturday 9...

My Christmas Day was lovely, and I do have a couple of photos to share in my Monday Musings post.  Stay tuned!

Until then, I am joining in on Saturday 9, and thank Crazy Sam for today's questions!  You can join in HERE!

Bye Bye Bye

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks, we do "random questions," so to speak. We encourage you to visit other participants' posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love to
answer the questions; however, here are today's questions!

Saturday 9: Bye Bye Bye (2000)

Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.

This song was chosen because it's time to say goodbye to 2025.
Thanks for participating in Saturday 9 this year.

1) In this song, a man predicts his lover will start an argument. Is there anyone in your life who can be quarrelsome?  Yes.

2) He says he's had it, he's checking out and signing off. Can you think of a time you were glad you walked away from something?  Yes (my first marriage).

3) This week's song was performed by the band NSYNC. The group was formed in Orlando, FL, which is world-famous as home to Walt Disney World. Today, there are 12 Disney theme parks located around the globe. Have you ever visited one of these Magic Kingdoms?  I live just 35 miles from Disney World, and we had season passes for many years.  Now, I don't care about Disney or any of the theme parks.  Been there, done that, and don't see the fun in any of them anymore.  The last time I went to Disney, I came home with covid.  Bah-humbug!  If there is a crowd, you won't find me in it!!

4) They made a celebrity appearance on The Simpsons. What's your all-time favorite cartoon show?  I'm 74 years old and barely remember cartoons.  I liked the Looney Tunes...

5) In 2000, the year "Bye Bye Bye" was popular, Brad Pitt was named People's Sexiest Man Alive. Are you crushing on anyone right now?  Good heavens, no.  (If Sam Elliott knocked on my door....)

Let's look back on 2025 ...

6) What's the farthest from home you traveled in 2025?  Illinois.

7) What was the biggest purchase that you made in 2025?  Getting my roof repaired was the biggest, followed by having the driveway and steps painted.

8) What was your favorite book of 2025?  The Lost Brides Trilogy by Nora Roberts.  I enjoyed all three of the books and rediscovered author Nora Roberts!

9) What are you looking forward to most in 2026?  Learning to use my new Cricut Explore 4, which was my Christmas gift to myself.  That and just living and enjoying family and friends, including my blogging friends!  Here's to a healthy and happy 2026 for all of us!!

Peace and Hugs!

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll take a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

  2. Right there with you on anything Disney!
Not familiar with a Cricut, but plan to buy myself something for Christmas "just because" ... I like your attitude!

  4. I am glad you had a lovely Christmas!
I would love to visit Disney, one day I will! I suppose when you live so close and have a season pass it can become boring.
I used to love Looney Tunes, I haven't watched it in years though!
Have fun with your new Cricut.

  5. Dear Terri, I am 69 and don't remember much of the cartoons but Looney Tunes is something that will continue on I think.

Happy New Year to you ❤️

  6. I never thought I'd want to go to Disney again, but I'm loving it! It's especially fun to go when the grandkids go. I hope you can figure out your cricut. If you have any questions, feel free to ask Kimberly. I'm so glad you had a nice holiday.

  7. I enjoyed reading your answers - these were good questions!! I have a Silhouette (similar to a cricut). There have been times I have used it a lot. Right now, spare time is at a premium - someday, I'll get back to crafting!!

  9. Happy New Year! I'm a bit late in getting caught up here. I'm glad you had a great Christmas. Re:Disney...never have cared about going. We went once or twice when our boys were little, and that was enough for all of us. Highly overrated and way too expensive. I don't know how families do it! I prefer natural Florida attractions, not the fake stuff! Maybe we will get to see each other sometime in 2026. I hope so!

  10. You've got a cricut! What fun. Bet you make lots of nice things with it.
I try to not give any more money to people that harm children or glorify the devil. Disney is on that list.
    Happy New Years! 🎉
