1. Is your tree up? How tall is it?
What color lights?
What color lights?
Are there lights in the window? On the door? Yes, my tree is up. It is a small table-top, and the lights are white. I don't have lights in the window, but I do have lights outside. I have a wreath on the door, but no lights.
2. Got a menu for Christmas Eve and Day? I don't have a menu for Christmas Eve. Joe and I always went out for Chinese on Christmas Eve, but when we were at his parents' house, back in our early years together, Mom D would do the traditional Italian seven fishes. Christmas day will be traditional ham, au gratin potatoes, and what others tell me they are bringing. I will fill in if other dishes are needed.
3. Who is coming for Christmas, or who will you visit? My dear neighbors are coming. Anne and Paul, Dee and Bill, Sandy and Bob, and Cheryl. We will be eight around the table!
4. What is your favorite Christmas memory? I have many wonderful Christmas memories, but my first one (1985) as a D'Orsaneo has to hold the number one spot (broken wrist and all). My ready-made family was and still is an amazing blessing!

I don't have any Christmas lights up. I like looking at them but if they are twinkly and flashy they give me a headache so I gave them a miss this year.
ReplyDeleteI haven't a clue what we're eating on Christmas Eve, I've not even thought about it until now. Eek!
I love that photo of your first Christmas as a D'Orsaneo!
That's a great Christmas memory and a wonderful photo!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that photo, Terri! Our tree is up with lights, and we have LED candles in our front room window that are on a timer (battery powered). They come on at 5 in the afternoon and turn themselves off at 11. How cool is that?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THAT PICTURE OF YOU AND YOUR FAMILY! Everyone looks so happy.
ReplyDeleteYour small tree is beautiful and relays the message of Christmas as well as a big tree. You've shared that pic before and it's still a pleasure to see. Happy faces, precious memory, a true treasure. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWe still haven't decided what to eat on Christmas Eve, but Chinese take-out sounds good to me. My DIL is doing meatloaf on Christmas Day.
ReplyDeleteThat photo of you four D'Orsaneo's is precious. Is there a story behind your broken wrist?
Cleaned the carpets because all the guys were out. Went grocery shopping after church (by myself) got home, shoes were wet... slipped on the soap and went down. Neighbors came to help. Took me to the ER. Big surprise for Jeff and Joe. Joey was away in college. Stupid.
DeleteI had SEVEN fractures in my wrist.
DeleteOh my goodness. You don't do things by half Terri!
DeleteI love that picture of you and your family Terri!
ReplyDeleteYour decorations and your menu plans are all so good. I have to look up what the 7 fishes dish is all about. Love that photo of you as a newlywed with Joe and the boys.
ReplyDeleteCatholics don't eat meat on Christmas Eve, so the Italians do 7 kinds of fish. Not sure of the origins...
DeleteYour tree is very pretty. Love that photo of you, Joe and the boys.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful Christmas memory! Sharing holidays with family and friends is the best of all.
ReplyDeleteI love your tree. You have a beautiful family. I wish you a very Merry Christmas.
