Monday Musings...

I had a good weekend.  I got the guest bathroom all put back together, and I am very pleased with the color and the new shower curtain and rugs. It all came together.  Nothing fancy, but it feels good to have it freshened up.  I did not like the purple and goldish wallpaper a former owner put up.  Here are a couple of photos, but small spaces are not easy to photograph, and the lighting isn't that good either.

The picture you see in this photo is of a cat drinking from the toilet.  Casper does that, so I remind guests to please keep the toilet lid down.  The picture is just a reminder!  LOL  Real class, right!!

Backing up to Friday, I had lunch with my friend, Shirley, at Cheddar's.  It is always fun to spend some time with her, and we both like the food at Cheddar's.  I didn't get a picture this time.

Sunday was Sunday school and church.  After the service, we had our annual congregational meeting to approve the budget, and we voted in two new Elders and a new Deacon.  That only took about 30 minutes.  I got home and did my usual laundry.

Today, I get to see my podiatrist for a final post-op appointment!  My toes seem to be doing just fine.  My appointment is at 9:45, and her office is near Publix.  I will pop in there for a few things.  When I get home from there, I need to put sheets on the guest room bed for Joey to arrive on Tuesday.  I am so looking forward to his visit.  He told me he plans to leave at 6:00 or 7:00, so he will be here around noon.  Yippee!!

He was here for Easter last year.  This photo is at church...

Peace and Hugs!!

Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One;
Give thanks, because He’s given
Jesus Christ, His Son.

  1. Oh Terri, your bathroom looks SO nice!! You did a great job of picking the right color and everything looks so neat and clean. Now I want to do that...you will possibly see our bathroom on Wednesday and you will understand why I ought to do what you did! Did you paint over the wallpaper or remove it? Did the paint cover it or did you have to use a primer? Of course, my "wallpaper" in our bathrooms is actually printed on the wall boards, so it's not something that can be removed. And it would probably take several coats to cover it. I'm not sure I'm up to the challenge, but seeing yours all done makes me want to try! LOL. Can't wait to see you on Wednesday! I assume you know the way to our house?

  3. The bathroom is nice. I like the color choice. It seems to be about the same color I painted our guest bath. I was trying to get a Farmhouse look and the original mauve I had painted it just didn't fit anymore.
    Glad your foot is doing so well. That's great!
    Joey does look like Joe. I can see the resemblance.
    Blessings. 🍀

  9. Your bathroom looks like something from a high-end hotel, Terri! And that cat drinking from the toilet is a hoot .... I'm all about potty humor.
    So glad to know Joey will be there tomorrow. It's no longer Mardi Gras season, but I say, "Let the good times roll!"
