Lunches last week were fun. Bonnie on Wednesday, Bill and Dee on Thursday, and a birthday lunch on Friday with Shirley. Friendships are such a blessing.
I got cleaning done on Saturday and went ahead and did bedding too. The HVAC vent cleaning didn't make a huge mess last week, but there was dust on everything. Dusted, vacuumed, and mopped. Laundry done after church (as usual)! Chores done.
I am going shopping, today, for a new refrigerator, hoping the Labor Day sales will be good. I'm having an early dinner with Cheryl (Helen's niece), at 4:00. If there is time, I will also visit a store or two, looking for something to wear to the wedding later THIS MONTH! Time is going so fast.
That's all I have for today. Hoping your day is relaxing and/or fun. It's a short week ahead for me, and my last day at work is Thursday. Wow.
Oh, I can't wait to see what kind of outfit you get, smiles. Have a great day my friend.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely week of being with friends! I'm so excited for you to be retiring again! Happy Labor Day!
ReplyDeleteI hope your shopping goes well with great deals!
ReplyDeleteThursday is coming soon! I can't believe it. I know it's exciting but also bittersweet as you enjoy the people you work with. Have a great last week!
Wow ... I can't believe this is your last week. I hope you happen on some smokin' hot deals -- both with the refrigerator and ladies wear.
ReplyDeleteI've taken to doing small loads of laundry several times a week in the early morning hours. We've a clothes dryer, but hanging everything out in the sunroom to dry saves a little on the electric bill I think.
You stay so busy. That's nice.
ReplyDeleteJust a thought, look at used refrigerators that don't have all the bells and whistles. We're going to do that when ours finally dies, which may be any day. These new ones are garbage and expensive to fix.
Hope all the shopping goes well.
Blessings. 💙
Oh you had a nice weekend and only three days to go - I am so excited for you!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with those Labor Day sales, Terri, and enjoy your shortened week. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI love that hymn, by the way. And I do hope you have a productive day of shopping for a refrigerator and a dress. Supper with Cheryl sounds nice too. So happy this is your last short week of work! And then what on earth will you do??? I know you will find plenty to keep you busy. And it's so nice you have so many friends around who like to get together. That will be fun too. Enjoy the rest of your day. It's too hot here to think about anything...of course I know it's hot where you are too, but still...I'm not motivated to do anything but stay cool. (((hugs)))
ReplyDeleteWe had to replace our refrigerator last April. Got a Whirlpool at Lowe's and then had to use the warranty last week for a vibrating noise. They replaced a part and the repairman heartily agreed that by all means, get the maintenance agreement on all appliances these days since they just don't make them as well as they used to. And avoid Samsung for anything.
ReplyDeleteP.S. When you buy your outfit for the wedding, do we get any say in the shoes and purse? (smile)
ReplyDeleteLOL.... flats, flats, or flats!!
DeleteI hope your fridge shopping went well. I will agree with Barbara on Samsung. My mom had a rough time with hers. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteMy repairman advised me to stay away from appliances made by the same people who make TVs and computers. I bought a Fridgedaire.
DeleteWe're currently covered in dust and it's a bit frustrating. I know the project will be nice, but I'm really hoping it wraps up in a timely fashion. Lunch with friends is one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteHello! I love your graphics! My Labor Day was quiet and cozy after a busy weekend! We just got a new fridge too. Have a cozy evening, my friend.
