Friday Fotos...

I have a few photos to share.  It's been a busy week but I haven't taken many photos.  Too many appointments and trying to remember what day it is!!  LOL

The Thursday Mas Verde dinner group was invited to Tim and Judy's house for dessert on Monday.  It was Tim's birthday.  Here he is cutting his cake (raspberry, from Publix) and Judy is in her kitchen.  It was a nice birthday gathering and the cake was delicious!

A couple of my readers asked to see pictures of my new appliances.
Stacked washer and dryer.  I've used it once and am quite happy!

I need to finish painting the closet and will get that done today and/or tomorrow.
My handyman is building shelves for me to fit the space and I will have room
for my vacuum cleaner, mops, and broom, etc.

My new refrigerator is nothing special but it is bigger than that
French door thing I had before and the ice maker works!
It also doesn't leak!!  I am a happy girl!!

It's hard to see but Casper has a tiny frog that visits the outside of my front door and it drives him crazy that he can't get it.  Casper meows for me to open the door every morning now and is sad when he can't find the frog or at least a lizard.  The frog is little, up by the crossbar.

So, I had two dentist appointments this week, two Bible studies, went to Publix for a few things, and out to dinner with the Thursday dinner group.  My neighbor, Anne, popped over yesterday for an hour or so.  Her husband, Paul, has leukemia and is going through chemo and blood transfusions.  She said he is worn out, but it is also wearing on her.  It's hard being the caregiver, as many of us know.  If you have a prayer list, please add them.

Peace and Hugs!

Leaning, leaning,
Safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

  2. You did start your retirement with a busy week! But isn't it nice you are doing it and not having to work besides?
Love the Casper story. That would have made our Oliver crazy too.
    The new appliances look great!

  5. Thanks for these pictures, Terri! Casper and the frog are so stinkin' cute.
Yes, that cake looks delicious -- Publix always does things right. I'd love to be rid of our side-by-side washer and dryer in order to make room, but Tom's not on board. There's nothing wrong with ours just yet, so I'd better pick my battles.
Saying a prayer for Paul and Anne. Being a caregiver's not for everyone, but we don't always get to choose.

  6. Nice pics!
Casper is cute. Our dogs worry about frogs and lizards too.
I really like raspberry anything. That's my favorite jelly and jam. I get the sugar-free one at WalMart Market. Yum.
Nice stackables and refrigerator. I hope they give you years of faithful service.
    Blessings. 💙

  9. "What a fellowship, what a joy divine, leaning on the everlasting arms..." Love that song! Yes, I will pray for Paul and Anne. My brother Russell had leukemia, and died in 2019 from it. I know it was very hard. Love that you have your new washer/dryer and fridge and that you are happy with them. And it will be nice to have that extra closet space next to the washer/dryer. Anytime we can get more storage space is a win! Funny picture of Casper and the frog. So cute. And raspberry cake does sound yummy. Sounds like your first week of retirement was quite busy! You might want to space things out a bit so you don't wear yourself out so fast! LOL. Anyway, I am happy for you to have friends and things to do, etc. God is good!! Have a great Sunday tomorrow!
