My thoughts: I wasn't looking for a theme for today's fashion fun. When I saw this gown I decided it looks like winter (for some reason!). Maybe the lace reminds me of snow. I'm not sure where she is going in this lovely dress but she will need shoes. I'm choosing pair #3 but will take off the decorations so they won't catch on the fabric. What are your thoughts?

I think the dress looks wintery too. Just something about the lace and the lines of it. I would choose #3 shoes also. They go really well with the dress. I am not much on strappy sandals and high heels so that may have influenced my choice. Hope you have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the shoes exactly as you said, and the dress is lovely...I hope that bodice isn't entirely see-through. It's hard to tell from here, but that's what it looks like, except for the lace! LOL. I don't think I'd be able to wear that dress without a jacket. LOL. But it is beautiful. I love the color, and if it is appropriately modest, then I could've worn it back when I was young and skinny. LOL. Oh, yes! Blessed Assurance, Jesus is mine! Oh what a foretaste of glory divine! ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same as you Terri that the fabric could easily catch on ornate shoes. Also, I wonder if the model is standing on a platform, otherwise she has incredibly long legs lol

ReplyDeleteI'm in love with that dress! At first I was drawn to #2, but when I saw what you said about taking off the decorations on #3, that sealed it. I'm such a fuddy-duddy about not liking 'stuff' on my shoes.

ReplyDeleteIt does look sort of wintery! The model looks lovely in that color, but even back in my younger, skinnier days I don't think that color would have looked good on me at all. But if I did wear it, I'd choose shoe #1.
ReplyDeleteShoes #3 for me, for the same reason you cited, Terri, but the dress needs a jacket, a shawl, or a mink coat! The bodice looks transparent!
