Books
Welcome to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4. We ask 4 questions each week to get you talking, thinking, questioning and seeing how your friends feel about things too. It helps us get to know other bloggers.
Let's think about books and reading this week.
1.Do you have a favorite place to read? In bed. Maybe you can post a photo of it or describe it for us? It's just my bed. LOL
2.Some say reading makes a person more educated, more informed. Do you think novels do this in any way? I think they can, depending on the subject and genre. Do you learn things from novels? Sometimes, I guess. Would you tell us what you have learned? Since I like historical novels that are based on true facts, I have learned from them I guess.
3. Are there any books on your list to read right now? I am about finished with The Firm and will start the sequel, The Exchange, both by John Grisham.
4, Which books did you like the most and which did you dislike most? I don't like science fiction or biographies/auto-biographies. I prefer historical, mysteries, medical, detectives...

"Lord of all, to Thee we raise, this our hymn of grateful praise!" (For the beauty of the earth). Love that old hymn! I also am not a fan of science fiction, and I kind of prefer Historical Fiction for "biographies" of historical people. I also enjoy mysteries, but I need to save my answers for my post when I get around to doing it! I enjoyed your answers. I find I can't read in bed, however...I'd fall asleep too quickly! LOL. Have a blessed and wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteI like some historical fiction and some science fiction and I love biographies and auto biographies on certain people. I've never read John Grisham. I may have to check him out sometime. Hope you have a great day and get some reading time in too.
ReplyDeleteApparently we enjoy the same genre in reading. I prefer real history to fiction but if it's done right it can be enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteIt's lightly raining here at the moment. Supposed to clear up in a few minutes. That's good because I have a doctor's appointment (only a follow-up) and driving in the rain is not one of my favorite things. I can do it fine but so many drivers are distracted now that they can't stay in their own lanes.
Have a wonderful day! Blessings. xx
I love to read in bed too, and like the same type of book you do. I'm lucky to have people in my office who enjoy the same type of books, so we often share.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading in bed -- first thing when I'm waiting 30 minutes (post Rx) for coffee. That's usually FB and blogs; I leave the 'stories' 'til later in the afternoon here on my recliner. I still have The Exchange on my TBR list; Grisham's one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteI love historical fiction and have learned a lot of things reading them.. Have you read Necessary Lies? It is good, so sad. Loved your answers! Have a nice week.
