Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 509
1. Hello Summer! In the northern hemisphere anyway. What's something on your summer bucket list? Do you have an actual summer bucket list? If not, use your hypothetical list. I don't have a summer bucket list. I guess I could say to just stay inside where the AC is working!! My sister, Tammy, might be coming for a visit in August! I'm hoping that happens!!
2. What for you is the defining scent of summer? Fresh-cut grass and chlorine.
3. What's a (music, food, wine, or flower) festival happening in your part of the country that you would like to attend if tickets/travel/timing was no object? Here in Florida, even the Saturday Farmer's Market takes a break in the summer. It is too dadgum hot to be outside doing anything. Locals don't go to Disney!!
4. Apparently a military whistle-blower claims the US has a UFO retrieval program. What say you? Do you believe aliens are out there? I've never seen a UFO, but I wouldn't be surprised if there is other intelligent life out there somewhere. I don't want to find an alien at my door though!
5. Besides your wedding day and the birthdays of any children you may have, what are three of your top experiences in life? Graduating Magna Cum Laude from college in 2002, at age 50; moving to Florida in 1989; going to Italy with Joe in 2007.
6. Insert your own random thought here. I've been watching "Barnwood Builders" on TV and now I want to live in a 200-year-old cabin with a sweet little spring/brook in my backyard, located somewhere in a holler in West Virginia!! Maybe South Carolina would be better since I don't want to deal with snow! LOL

I'd head to North Carolina.... :) Have a great day
ReplyDeleteI love that show too and always have dreamt of living in a cabin. Yes, agree, the humidity is something else here. sigh.
ReplyDelete"Oh, precious is the flow, that makes me white as snow! No other fount I know. nothing but the blood of Jesus". Yes, that cabin in a holler in the mountains with a stream or lake or pond would suit me just fine. We got part of it here, but we don't have the little "holler in the mountains"...we got a lot of hollering noisy automobiles out there on the other side of the pond that disturb the peace night and day. LOL. If we could pick this up and move it to someplace cooler in the summer, that would be ideal! I enjoyed your answers...yes, summer here in Florida is time to say indoors in the AC and stay away from the crowds and heat. I like your answer to #2. Fresh cut grass and chlorine. I had to think a minute, but I know you meant a nice swimming pool in summer...I remember that chlorine smell at the pool when we'd go places where there was one. If they weren't so much work, I wouldn't mind having one! LOL. Have a blessed day my friend. It's the first day of summer, and it is pouring rain here again!!
ReplyDeleteAnother good song today - now it is in my head!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit sad about June 21, cause now the days start getting shorter.
I like Barnwood builders. I think West Virginia is good - not too hot, and on the rare times there is snow, you can stay inside. :)
Fresh cut grass is such a good smell!
I enjoyed reading your answers. You've given me another show to check out. Hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you, staying near to the AC! Chlorine's a great response. I used to love to sniff my fingers ... the way my swimsuit smelled before mother washed it. West Virginia sounds nice, provided there's a big stone fireplace. I'll have to check out Barnwood Builders! xo
ReplyDeleteBarnwood Builders sounds like a show that would hook me, too, Terri. Smells of summer? Honeysuckle and mown grass.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
My bucket list is to stay in the A/C too. *lol* Thankfully, it's not super hot so far. Hope it stays that way.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad there are no aliens but there is demon activity. That's quite real. So, there's that. I'm sure that after the Rapture "they" will say we were aliens to "explain" our disappearance to take glory away from God. They're so transparent.
HGTV shows are some of my favorites. I really like the Reno shows. I learn a lot about home improvement that way.
Blessings. xx
Regarding UFOs, I tend to think whatever people see is just space junk, of which there is apparently quite a lot, now that man has learned how to put stuff up there.
