Still joining in with the old Friday Foto Friends, started by our blogging friend, Deb, quite a few years ago. She is back, but not asking for link-ups - you should still check her out!!
I only have one new photo to share. I just haven't been anywhere that caused me to take a photo... except for this one at Southside Cleaners. I was waiting at the traffic light, which gave me time to roll down the window and snap this picture. I love what it says!
Some of you might remember a year ago, at the beginning of hurricane season, my boss gave me a 'hurricane lily'. I asked my neighbor, Susan, if she had room to plant it in her flower bed and she was thrilled to do that. It blooms at the beginning of hurricane season each year. It bloomed the week I was home sick with that cold three weeks ago, and I didn't get to see it. She took a picture (her photo) and sent it to me. The flower doesn't last very long.
I am having lunch with my neighbors, from the old neighborhood, Bob & Ginny, and Ginny's sister, Mary Jane (my cat sitter) today. I am meeting them at a new restaurant that just opened last week called 4 Rivers. It is BBQ. I'm looking forward to seeing them and also trying the new place to eat!
What happened to June?!!

June buzzed by too quickly!
ReplyDeleteThat hurricane flower is pretty. Reminds me of an allium.
Have fun today!
I love that Cleaners' signage! I know it's a sin to wish away time, but goodness, I wish the time would fly 'til Autumn. I hope the new BBQ place is yummy. Happy Friday! xo
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to the last 6 months? Mercy, time is certainly flying right by us. Love what that sign says, too....and that lily is gorgeous. HOPE you have a great weekend, sweet Friend.
ReplyDeleteLife does go fast.
ReplyDeleteSo does that hurricane plant - really work?
That cleaners has the best signs ever, Terri! So kind of your neighbor to snap a photo of that hurricane flower before it wilted so you could see what it looked like. Hope the new place you're trying out with friends is extra good.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
"Use the opportunities for Jesus;
ReplyDeleteJust a little while our life shall be.
Time is short and life is very precious.
Soon we'll go into eternity." Okay, I cheated. I never heard of this song before so I had to look it up. It's a great song! Thank you for sharing it with us!! Also, love the sign at the cleaners. Perfect for today's society. Yes, June has flown by in some ways, but for us it was a LONG month, with our "kids" away and a lot of other things going on. We are happy they are back and we are feeling more "secure and contented". Of course, God is always with us, and we are so very thankful for that truth. Have a wonderful weekend. Happy 4th of July!!!
That flower is stunning! Glad you're feeling better and able to enjoy BBQ with friends.
ReplyDeleteGreat sign and that flower is so pretty. Hope you enjoyed the BBQ meal with your friends. Happy 4th July Terri.
ReplyDeleteThat Hurricane Lily is pretty and so special! I don't think I've seen one before.
