I have some photos to share today!
I mentioned earlier that one of my co-workers has resigned and is making a career move. We are happy for him but are really sad that he is leaving. We had a cookout at our Derby Lake yesterday. We had hotdogs cooked on the grill and I took baked beans, and potato salad, and made brownies. We got a photo of all of us - me and "my guys". Paolo is sitting center and not smiling. That's the seven of us, soon to be six. I told you before that I'm the office granny!
Of course, I had to do this... and he still didn't smile.
There was actually a gator floating under this dock but by the time I
got closer, it was gone and my phone camera couldn't catch it.
From the dock, looking back at the Pavillion.
Derby Lake... no gator to be seen.
You can see Mom, Dad, and baby Osprey in the nest. They were unhappy that we were in their space and were quite vocal about it...
This is how far away were really were...
That's all I have! Happy Friday and I wish you a blessed weekend ahead!!
Peace & Hugs!
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound...

What a nice place to work. If one has to do it... this is the way. Always sad to see someone you like and work with move on.
ReplyDeleteIt's always sad when we lose good employees and friends.
ReplyDeleteFun photo of you rustling Paolo's hair!
Enjoy your weekend!

It's so nice you did that for him. He's not smiling cause he will miss you!
ReplyDeleteIt sure is a beautiful place to go to work every day! And such handsome men surrounding you too! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI hope this career move he's making will be all he is hoping for. I know decisions like that are not always easily made. Love the pictures with you and all the guys! Don't you worry that the gator will sneak up on you and run out and get you?!? I know I would be. Love the ospreys. We have some in this area because when we were out looking for the eagle nest we saw an osprey nest with at least one of the ospreys i it. Hope you have a great weekend my friend
ReplyDeleteI truly enjoyed your photos, Terri. I still can't get over the gorgeous place where you have the privilege of working. What a blessing!
ReplyDeleteI might have giggled out loud at you trying to get Paolo to smile. Isn't he the one who graduated Auburn? Dear co-workers are a huge blessing.
ReplyDeleteYes, he is the Auburn grad.
DeleteWhat a fabulous job you have Terri! Blessed.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am sorry your young fellow is leaving...maybe he has mixed emotions about it since he isn't smiling. I do hope he will be happy wherever he is going. How nice to have a picnic and to have some time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of your place of work. Love the ospreys...yeah, they don't like company too close. And that alligator...wonder where he went? I wouldn't jump in the water to go look for him, however. LOL. Thank you for sharing the pictures with us. I am happy that you have a good place to work like that.
ReplyDeleteSteve always wanted to be a Park Ranger. He would have been well suited to that kind of job and I would have enjoyed living in a park setting like that. What a blessing it must be to have such a nice job with beautiful surroundings. xx
ReplyDeleteI am blessed and thankful every day.
DeleteYou may be the office Granny but I'm sure they all love you!
