Yes, that's a tear but not a sad one. Friday's procedure went well (already reported) and Saturday was just a lazy day for me, recouping from the anesthesia, etc. I did some laundry and a little cleaning.
Sunday, after church, I hurried home to log in on a zoom baby shower for my niece, Sara. It looked like there were 18 or so of her friends and family zooming the event, held in Charlottesville, VA. It was fun watching her open her gifts and seeing her sweet baby bump. There were friends and family there, in person, too. Of course, it was great seeing my sister-in-law and my sister, too, and Matthew popped in before the zoom ended so he could say hello and thanked everyone for all the gifts.
I left for Punta Gorda a little after 2:00. I met up with Lauren and Tristan, and their mom, Kathy, for a late lunch/early supper at our favorite Captain's Table. It was good catching up with them. Tristan is moving to Washington, DC this week. His working-from-home job is back to in-person. Happy for him and sad for us. It will be a while before I get to see him again. It was a beautiful day, right on the water...
So that was my weekend. On to Easter week.

Congratulations to Tristan. I hope you have a beautiful Monday, my friend. smiles
ReplyDeleteWhat a busy weekend you had, Terri, and made extra special because of time with family. Loved the photos!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
So glad you all were able to make that get-together happen! I'd forgotten how beautiful Charlotte Harbor is. Y'all were right across the water from my mother's home in Port Charlotte. Perhaps you can look forward to visiting Tristan in DC some day?

ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you were able to participate in a zoom baby shower! What a wonderful thing technology is when it works right and when you know how to work it! LOL. And then to zoom yourself in person down to visit with your grandchildren and their mom...that is so great that you had that time together. Best wishes to Tristan as he starts this new chapter in his life. And how wonderful the weather cooperated and you had such a lovely visit! God is good! Have a blessed "Holy Week" as we prepare for Easter!
