Friday Fotos...

I have some new photos to share this week!!  One day this week, my boss asked if I wanted to ride around the property with him.  He wanted to check the roads for downed branches/trees after the storm that flew through.  Of course, I jumped at the chance!!  Grabbed my phone/camera and off we went.  He was nice to stop now and then so I could take pictures. The lakes pictured are all different.

Tenoroc has 29 lakes and 24 of them are open to the public for fishing,
boating, and there are also hiking trails and horseback trails.
It is more rustic than many parks and fishing is what most people come for.
Some lakes take motorboats, some are rustic, and only allow canoes and kayaks.
There are gators in all the lakes so no skiing or swimming.

This is our maintenance area.

The apartments are not on our property.

My boss, Danon, opening one of the gates.

A really big gopher tortoise burrow.  Didn't see the tortoise.

I was watching for the pine trees that have the crosses sprouting around Easter time.  Danon had never heard about it but was interested.  The crosses aren't very big yet, but Easter is a few weeks away. Hope you can see them at the top of the pine!

We got back to the office and Norman needed to talk to Danon, so stopped the tractor to talk. I snapped a picture and went on in to close down my computer and get ready to leave. It was a fun couple of hours for me.  We only found one large limb that needed to be moved. Pleased that there was no real damage.

Last night, St. Patrick's Day, the Mas Verde group went to Grillsmith for dinner.  A couple of us got the corned beef and cabbage (and mashed potatoes).  It was delicious and I'm sorry I took a few bites before I thought about taking a picture. Also sorry about the shadow.  The beef was fork-tender.

Tonight, my boss and Mrs. Boss are going to pick me up for dinner. We are going to Gosh, Asian Bistro and we are all looking forward to it.  I made an angel-food pineapple cake last night and have fresh berries and whipped cream to serve with it for our dessert when we get back to the house. I imagine we will play a game or two of Rummikub.  That's it and thanks for making it this far. Lots of photos.

Peace & hugs!
God's love is steadfast!

  2. I enjoyed seeing all the pictures of those lakes. There is a certain and specific smell that means you are in Florida: green, fresh, warmth, humid...as soon as you step out of the airport, and breathe it in, yay, Florida! We've gone on some walks around lakes and ponds there through the years, and it's so different from the landscapes up here, of course. I love where I live, but I do love Florida too. Thank you for the tour! Also, it's nice you get out and about so much with friends...what fun.

  3. How nice to get to drive around and see so much. I've seen a lot of little branches down with the wind and rain we had but nothing bad where I hike. Signs of Spring everywhere! Enjoy your day and evening!

  6. Wow, Terri, what wonderful photos you have for us this week! I saw those crosses in the pines, and I think that's rather a miracle in itself. Not sure if the pines we have around here do the same, but I'll be sure to check.
    Blessings!

  7. What a picturesque workplace, Terri! I'm guessing your boss is flattered that you're so interested. Only recently I heard of the pines' crosses and will be on the lookout. Like the cross on donkeys' backs, I love how God's in the details.
    Have fun tonight!
