Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 455
2. Have you ever been to Rome? Yes. If so what do you love about the city? The ancient history leaves me gobsmacked. I had to put my hand on every ancient building and close my eyes to just feel the years. If not, any desire to go? I would go again but loved Tuscany and Florence more. This is 'supposedly' The Theatre of Pompey in Rome, where Caesar was stabbed...
3. What's your favorite place to 'roam'? I enjoy day trips right here in Florida. There is so much to see.
4. Do you like pizza? Yes! Thick or thin crust? I prefer thin or hand-tossed. Red sauce-white sauce-other? Red sauce, please. Your favorite toppings? Pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, hot peppers, cheese! How do you feel about pineapple on a pizza? I don't like it.
5. 'Rome wasn't built in a day...tell us how this expression applies to something in your home-life-job currently (or recently)? I still have work to do back in what was Joe's office but I am not stressing about it anymore. It looks better and there isn't much more to get through. I am still filling a box to take to the UPS Store for shredding. It will get done eventually.
6. Insert your own random thought here. My hairdresser appointment got messed up again - the second time since I have gone to Diana. I decided to try somewhere else and got in today after work with Haley at The Hair Cuttery. It is close and she says she loves doing curly hair. Of course, she would say that but I will find out. When I spoke with Diana, I told her I would check my calendar and get back to her. I think she knew what I really meant.
Curly hair gets bigger instead of longer. I really need a trim!

I have baby thin hair and it's hard to manage, I am going to miss Melanie, she will cut my hair tomorrow for the last time. ANYWAYS, Have a beautiful day, Terri.
ReplyDeleteHi Terri: I had the same problem every month for four months my hairdresser would cancel me and reset appointment, not a way to run a business.
ReplyDeleteI would love to go to Rome to the Vatican and see all the ancient buildings in Italy.
Thin crust hamburger and onions with red sauce, yummy.
I have lots of stitching to do I need two lifetimes, not a fan of Shakespear, a good old-fashioned salad with lots of lettuce and French dressing and blue cheese dressing.
Fun Post
Catherine
Caesar salads are yummy but I can't tolerate lettuce anymore. Makes my stomach and colon hurt. What's up with that?! *lol*
ReplyDeleteI have zero desire to visit Rome. Wouldn't mind visiting the British Isles, Israel and Egypt.
My hair is super curly and fine too. I've been straightening it for so many years. I look like a Brillo pad when I don't do that.
Blessings. xx
Pizza.... never was a slice I didn't like.... Pineapple not sure about that, never had it.. :)
ReplyDeleteRome's okay, but I, too, would rather revisit Tuscany. My fav pizza is something Mellow Mushroom calls the Holy Shitake: 'Olive oil and garlic base, shiitake, button and portobello mushrooms, caramelized onions, mozzarella, and Wisconsin aged white cheddar. Finished with a garlic aioli swirl and a spritz of black truffle oil. Garnished with fresh chives and shaved parmesan.'
ReplyDeletePS - Did your barber lady (Teeni?) retire?
No. I quit going to Teena. She was Joe's barber for years and her dad for more years before. I went with him for convience. She does men's hair great and women's just okay. I told her it was too hard going there without Joe, and it really was. She understood.
DeleteConvenience!!
DeleteAh, pizza! I love it too, preferably thin crust. A few months ago, Gary bought a portable pizza oven. It delivers amazing fire-cooked pizza in about 4 minutes. Needless to say, we probably eat too much pizza now!
ReplyDeleteYes, so many lovely places in Florida to visit. Especially the beach! One could just stroll along the coast for hours at a time.
My late mother-in-law was full-blooded Italian (Sicilian), and one of her dreams was always to go to Rome, to attend mass at the Vatican. I agree with you about the ancient buildings. As a history freak, I would be overwhelmed with all the buildings.
Blessings,
Patti
Now I want some pizza. But probably not going to get it today. I have leftovers to use up first. Your hair is so nice. I hope you like the new place and that they do exactly what you want! I like my hairdresser, but sometimes she doesn't seem to get what I want. My cut this time was VERY short, but it is growing and now it looks better than it did. I've never been to Rome or anywhere out of the country except across the border to Canada and back. But I don't have any travel aspirations at this time. We barely get out of Interlachen. And you KNOW how small that is! LOL. Hope the rest of your week is good. I'm trying to get caught up here...I've been MIA for a few days. Bye for now.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the haircut today! I like your curly hair.
ReplyDeleteI did read quite a bit of Shakespeare in H.S. and in college; that would make sense for an English major, right? My favorite memory about the playwright was actually attending MacBeth in the Globe theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon. Wow! I feel about the British Isles like you do about Italy. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your new hairdresser, Terri!
Fun answers and I am glad you were able to get into a hairdresser that you like. I hate when appts get messed up! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI go to a salon where my girl is the owner and only stylist. I know she is trying to get pregnant and while I hope it happens for her I worry for my hair lol. I have so much hair and it's so thick. I've had some bad haircuts in my time so finding someone new is stressful. It is hard to leave a stylist because I do always become kind of friendly with them. I hope your new girl works out well!
ReplyDeleteI hope you like your new girl. I've changed places several times since we moved to this area, but never found one like the guy I had down home.
ReplyDeleteSo awesome that you got to visit Italy.
I would love to visit Rome! That ancient history is so interesting to me too.
ReplyDeleteI love pineapple on pizza, but no one else in the family does.
I wish you could share just a little of that curl with me. :)
I usually feel like Caesar salad needs to be a main meal with Chicken..lol. I don't think I ever have it as a side. I'd love to go to Tuscany. I have been to Venice and Como. HOpe you've had a great week.
ReplyDeleteI would love to go to Rome. Italy is one place I would love to see if I ever travel outside of the states. I would be in wonderland taking in all the sights, breathing in the air, and imaging history there from long ago as well. I always wonder when I see and ancient building or old home what life was like, who lived there as well.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love Florida I can see why you enjoy your day trips. We want to come back and start out in another part than St. Augustine, maybe we can spend a night in Lakeland, I'd enjoy seeing it more and of course YOU! I love pizza, I like the thin crust the best, the toppings taste more flavorful too without all the thick bread. Ummm Rome wasn't built in a day and the things I want accomplished aren't going to happen in a day either.
My curly headed grandson just got another cut a few days ago. I wonder if his hair will stay curly. I love curly hair :)
Peace & Hugs to you also xo
