Tuesday Treasures...

It is nearly bedtime and I haven't seen a Tuesday 4 post yet.  I still have a few pictures of Christmas decorations that I haven't posted yet, and they fall into the "treasured" category.  I have many more treasures, but these are the ones that made it out of the boxes this year...

This tree was crocheted by my mom, many, many years ago.  There is a styrofoam tree under it.

The snowman is a music box and my BFF Elaine made it for me many, many years ago!

Speaking of my BFF, Elaine (who will be here in less than 3 weeks!) hooked this Santa for us!

My dear friend, Melody, who died two years ago, made this wreath for me WAAAAYYY back when she worked in my department at the art museum.
Joy To The World is not a treasure but is from Dollar General last year.

Speaking of Dollar General, these aren't on the 'treasured' list but I did this to our front entry.

Ane this sign is always in front of our house.  We purchased it years and years ago.

We finished our Christmas shopping yesterday and I did get the package off to Virginia so now I can start thinking about Christmas cookies and candy making. because I am giving some of that away. We got a free Honeybaked Ham coupon in the mail from a friend today so I don't have to buy a ham for Christmas dinner!!

Today I get my every-six-weeks facial with my friend, Dawn. We talk through the entire session and I look forward to catching up with her and the family.

Peace & hugs!  Jesus loves you!

  1. Oh my goodness...a 6 week facial...no wonder you look so young! LOL. You are amazing! And I love all your special memories and treasures. Christmas seems to be the time that we pull out all the memories that we've stored away in boxes and we walk down memory lane with our treasures from the past that bring us joy. I love it. Seems like this year I've been more nostalgic than ever...maybe it is because we are all feeling more nostalgia about family because we've been more isolated from them. It helps us to appreciate what we have and what we had so much more. Enjoy your day today.

  4. I always love homemade decorations. It seems those have stood the test of time for me. Those are the ones I display the most. I absolutely love the crocheted tree your mom made. That is perfect.
