Thanks to Annie, you can join the Tuesday 4 HERE!
Happy New Year!!
Happy New Year and welcome once again to Tuesday 4 where we remember and honor the memory of our friend Toni Taddeo who began Tuesday4.
The Times Square ball first dropped on December 31, 1907. It is 12 feet in diameter and covered with Swarovski crystals.
1. Despite the weirdness of this past year, was it still a good year for you anyway or not? We were blessed to not have suffered too much because of all the shutdowns but we know many who lost much, including loved ones.
2. How will you spend New Year's Eve? We have two other couples invited to spend time with us. Will we make it to midnight? Who knows!?
3. What do you do on New Year's Day? Is football part of the agenda? Joe has not been watching the NFL so I doubt there will be football on TV. I will be cooking and we have folks invited to join us for dinner.
4. It's a Scottish tradition to kiss at midnight. Do you keep that tradition? Yes, Joe and I always kiss and wish each other a blessed new year. (I am 51% Scottish, by the way.) Does everyone get a kiss if you do? Not this year... we will keep our kisses in the family!! LOL

Wishing you and Joe a very Happy New Year. Here is looking to a brighter new year. smiles
ReplyDeleteI haven't made it to midnight in years, Terri - lol! May you have a wonderful New Year's celebration.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a hard year. I lost two close cousins this year, but I am convinced God sprinkles good in with the bad. I have things to look forward to...a marriage for son and a new grand baby. I have not even announced that yet.
ReplyDeleteI took a hint from an older couple a few years ago. I celebrate with those on eastern time rather than central time so I can go to bed a little earlier:) Works for me!!!
Happy New Year!
Sounds like you are going to be having a good time. Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! Loved your answers! Have a nice week.

Pretty sure we'll spend New Years as we've always done -- like couch potatoes, trying to keep our eyes open. LOL. Not that the networks care, but we've not watched a single NFL game this year either.
ReplyDeleteIt will be a quiet night for us this year, our friends we do NY's Eve with are out of town. Who knows if we'll stay up! :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your answers today.
ReplyDeleteWe will watch football on New Year's Day.
Wishing you and your family a great New Year!
I've only ever kissed the hubby at midnight. I wish you the best New Year possible!

I am sticking with no NFL, too, and it is harrrrrd because my steelers are doing so well this year! Have fun with your friends. It sounds lovely!
ReplyDeleteI guess Guy Lombardo won't be playing! :)
ReplyDeleteNo, darn it.
DeleteMy New Year's Eve plans: FaceTime with the kids and probably get to bed around 9:30pm! Is there a Rose Parade on New Year's Day? That is something I like to have on but I suppose that tradition may be in doubt.
ReplyDeleteI Googled it and Google says the parade is cancelled for 2021. :(
DeleteYes, I think we will all have to keep our kisses in the family this year! I don't even know if we will be awake at midnight! haven't been awake that late in years! LOL. But my sister and her hubby are coming to spend the night, and they may insist on staying up. We shall see what happens. LOL. Either way, Happy New Year!! Enjoy your friends!!
ReplyDeleteWe always stay up till midnight. It won't be as much fun since there won't be any grandchildren here, but I do not want to miss seeing the ball drop. I'm sure we'll be texting "Happy New Year" to lots of family.
ReplyDeleteIf there was ever a year to toss out, it is this one!! I think that is the best reason to stay up until that midnight hour!! Good-bye 2020!
