Having Lucy on my lap, watching the bird videos,
is a daily occurrence now.
We were leaving to pick up our friend, Helen, and these
Sandhill Cranes were just strolling through a neighbor's yard.
Sorry for the shadows. They really are beautiful.
Helen had a doctor's appointment and we took her there.
Cheryl (her niece) is back at work and couldn't do this one. We were happy to go.
Pretty fancy doctor's office. That is Helen checking in.
We stopped for lunch after her appointment.
Boston Market was really good. We hadn't been in a long time.
Joe had a BBQ chicken sandwich. Helen and I both had the pot pie.
And look at the pretty sky!!
We are off to the farm (Joe's accounting client) today. It was nice of them to give us a couple of extra days so I would feel better able to ride along. I am feeling better though know the healing will take time and I need to continue being careful with activity and lifting. Joe is driving us around and we are doing fine. I think we will stop at Sam's Club on the way home.
Happy Friday! Thanks for your visit! Peace & hugs!!

You cant keep a good woman down! Hope you will continue to take it easy so you can heal completely. I love the Boston Market but havent been in years. The cranes are so pretty and I know you will enjoy going to the farm today. Take care of you.
ReplyDeleteI am confused ... is watching a bird video with a cat like watching a KFC advert as far as he is concerned? Surely he'll be licking his lips with delight.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Funny!!!
DeleteLucy does indeed make noises and tries to capture the birds now and then when she gets excited. Vinny does the same. Our Lilly could care less about the videos.
DeleteThat is a pretty Dr's office!!!! Fun pictures. I am glad you are taking it a bit easy so that you heal properly. I hope you have a great weekend. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteGlad you are following doctor's orders!! And what a servant's heart both you and Joe have Terri. I know Helen appreciates her good neighbors.
ReplyDeleteHmm...maybe Lucy should be looking out the window at the neighbor's yard! Take it easy today at the farm, but enjoy the day and the critters!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to a Boston Market in years. We don't have any near us. I do remember it being yummy.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the farm!
How neat to see the Sandhills! I hope I can get outside some this weekend and find some nature to photograph! lol Take care of yourself and feel better soon! Take is EASY!!! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWhen we have surgery, if we listen to our bodies, we will do just fine. I can tell you are paying attention and that will serve you very well. I'm so glad you are weathering through this. Maturity and wisdom help a lot, too. In my younger days, I would ignore the signs of weariness and then I would have setbacks.
ReplyDeleteThe sand hill cranes -- aren't they just amazing???
I love the cat watching the birds! So glad you are doing better and well enough to get out with your friend Helen and go with Joe today. Have a good and restful weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry I missed your "surgery" day...as you know this week has been rather full and crazy for us, and I have lost track of time and friends...I hope to get back to "normal" (whatever THAT is) soon. So glad you are doing well and that you are behaving as you should. Praying for you now.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling great in no time at all.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing the cranes and yes, a very pretty doctors office. Sometimes I wonder if they charge extra for all that haha.
Enjoyed your photos, Terri, and so happy that you are feeling better each day.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
That Lucy just cracks me up! I remember Boston Market had the greatest whipped potatoes. My favorite was the butternut squash … a sure cure for a scratchy throat.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you're feeling better, but PLEASE take good care of yourself. Again, I'm glad you have Mr. Joe to help you out...and vice versa when he needs the extra attention! That Lucy watching the cat videos is soooo funny! It's like she thinks the laptop is just for her! LOL Happy Friday...HOPE you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are doing well and having fun while recuperating!
ReplyDeleteHow nice you were able to travel along with your hubby to help your friend and to see his client. As you were narrating the story and I was looking at your photos I thought to myself 'that is an upscale doctor's office' then at almost the same time I read your words 'pretty fancy doctor's office'. It cracked me up :-) Enjoy your weekend.
