**I am always thankful for our beautiful blue Florida sky! The picture was taken yesterday.
**If you have been reading my blog this week, you know I am thankful for good doctors!! My knees are nearly pain-free, making movement so much more pleasant. Thankful for cortisone shots!! I am also driving again, one week after my out-patient procedure, which also worked wonderfully!! Praising God!!
**I was thankful to drive Joe down to Ft. Meade yesterday, to his client on the farm. I got to feed the horses carrots while he did his accounting work in the office with the owners. I missed being there last week! The owner told Joe the horses missed me. (That was sweet!)
**I am thankful for Facebook!! I found a cousin I hadn't been in touch with in over 50 years!! Just by chance, now and then, I go searching on social media for names from my past. I have found a few folks that way, but am most excited about finding cousin Anna Lee. Anna Lee's mom was the niece of my Granny Kelly. The Fulks owned a dairy farm and I got to spend a week with them a few summers when I was 10-11-12ish. Anna Lee is my age so we played together when I was there. Both of us were tomboys and liked to climb trees, build forts in the hay/straw mall and see what other trouble we could find on the farm. I wish I had pictures!! She remembers me and my visits and also my parents. It was fun chatting with her on Messenger!! Thankful for family and fond memories!
**And of course, I am thankful for YOU and your visit! Peace & hugs!!

So happy that your knees are better and that you can drive again. I know you enjoyed going to the farm and seeing the animals. I agree on Facebook....used properly, it is a delight and so helpful. Nice that you found a family member and were able to reflect on the good old days.
ReplyDeleteIn every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Thessalonians 5:18
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Amen!
DeleteCould not have said it better myself.
I know I say this all the time, but I am thankful for you. That is so cool that you found your relative. smiles
ReplyDeleteAND thank you for the kind comments you leave at my blog, smiles
One of the best things about Facebook is reconnecting with old friends and family. It truly makes up for the bad parts of Facebook.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see you've got the car keys back and that the cortisone shots have helped! You're back in the game now!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear your knees are feeling better and you can drive again.
ReplyDeleteHow neat that you reconnected with your cousin after all those years.
Have a great day!
I am so happy your shots worked and you are pain free! What a wonderful blessing medicine is!!! Enjoy your pain free mobility!! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWe do have the most beautiful skies in the summer months! I'm so glad you are improving and feeling so much better! Enjoy your day! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI love how Facebook keeps families together & updated. I have so many cousins & its just been great to stay in touch that way.
ReplyDeleteYAHOOO for your knee doing better!!!
I am so thankful your knee feels so much better and that you're driving again!! Whole new lease on life!!
ReplyDeleteHow fun to find a cousin! I often do the same thing! When my aunt died last week, I got out the info we had from 2013 and decided to search for the names of my cousins' children. (I knew my cousins are not on FB because their church forbids social media.) I was delighted to find three of the kids on FB and reached out to them. I am "friends" with one of them now and had a great time connecting with him at the funeral the other day. I love FB!!
So glad to hear you are feeling better. Doctors and God are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAnd, I'm thankful for you! And, that your knees are pain free! And, that you got to drive! 💜
ReplyDeleteWow! Finding that long-lost cousin is something to be thankful for in a big way. I must admit, I have a love/hate relationship with Facebook, but a story like this definitely plants me on the love side.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Terri!
So happy to know you're feeling stronger, Terri! Sweet, too, about the horses. I wonder if that's not a little like having a timeshare ... all the fun and none of the maintenance!
ReplyDeleteAside from those darn changes in girls' last names, Facebook has been a treasure trove, helping me track down a few old friends and 'shirtsleeve' relations … sometimes simply to tie up loose ends. I HATE loose ends, lol.
I'm thankful you are doing so well! I also appreciate being able to keep up with people on FB.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're back to driving and feeling better! Facebook has its faults, for sure, but I am thankful for the good things that come out of it, too.
ReplyDeleteTerri, that is probably one of my very favorite things about Facebook! I have been able to reconnect with long lost relatives and friends. It's terrific for that. I'm so glad to see that you are feeling better and get to drive and go to the farm. Doesn't it just feel good to feel good? I know that always makes me thankful.
