Tickled Tuesday...
Well, I was TICKLED yesterday to get Joe out of the house for awhile. I needed to make a return at Target and also pick up some cat food. He stayed in the car, but he was out of the house! After that, we went to Sam's Club, mainly for spring water and Propel (Joe's habit). Again, he waited in the car.
I was TICKLED to talk him into going to the Express Clinic to ask a doctor about the swelling and lingering hematoma in his arm and hand. We got to see a new doctor who we both liked! He looked at the results from Joe's ER visit last week and ordered some blood work to check on a level while we were there. He told us to get an elastic sleeve for his arm to help with the swelling and told him it was okay to go back on the blood thinner, but to make sure we have a discussion with our cardiologist about it. Our cardiologist is on vacation this week (we called there first). So Joe feels a little more confident about how his arm is doing (and so do I).
From there, we found the place that had the kind of sleeve the doc wanted us to get and we were shown how to put it on, etc. TICKLED to have that done.
I was then even more TICKLED when Joe suggested we pick up some food for dinner, rather than having me cook when we got home. Suited me just fine!! We used over a quarter tank of gas running around, but it was worth it to have Joe out and about with me!!
My weekend recap post was late because I forgot to change the posting time when I scheduled it. My bad!! Thanks to Myra for "fretting" about my not having a post!! I'll pay attention to the schedule for this one!!
TICKLED that you stopped by today!! Peace & hugs!!

So glad Joe was able to get out and about for the day and that you got some answers about his arm....hoping the sleeve does the job. It is sometimes the little things that make us the happiest! Speaking of, happy Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got Joe out and about It is good for him and for you!! Glad you got some answers and I think the sleeve will be very helpful.
ReplyDeleteThat's great that you got Joe out of the house for a while.
ReplyDeleteHoping Joe's arm heals fast.
Have a great day!
I just read both yesterday's and today's posts. Poor Joe. He has had a rough time because of that fall. Makes sense about the blood thinner making the hematoma worse. Also, glad he is back on the thinner cuz he needs it for other health reasons.
ReplyDeleteI hate taking pain medication that is stronger than Alleve. It makes me sick to my stomach. So thankful that Joe was ready and able to get out and about. That says he is starting to improve. You said it is July when he will get his hip shot and start PT? Praying improved mobility for him so you can both enjoy your days together since that is one reason you retired !!!!
Best wishes to you both. Praying for you.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I'm 'tickled' that you got some good things accomplished regarding Joe and that swelling. I'm sure that has been worrisome.
ReplyDeletePraying healing and enabling grace for your days.
TICKLED … it's all good! Ya, those blood thinners are dicey business, like walking a tightrope sometimes. Glad you're meeting doctors you both like!
ReplyDeleteTickled pink that Joe was able to get out and about today, and that you don't have to cook dinner. Hooray!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Terri!
I'm tickled to read all these good things!
ReplyDeleteSo glad Joe was able to get out and about. Hope the arm heals quickly. So glad you got to see a doctor. I'm sure it eases your mine to have seen him.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like your outing was successful. Hope the sleeve helps and Joe's arm improves a lot and heals very soon. Keeping you both in thoughts and prayers. Hugs
ReplyDeleteSometimes, running errands feels like a vacation, just because they get you out of the house. How nice that Joe went with you and you didn't have to go by yourself.
ReplyDeleteYay, for doctors you like!! That doesn't usually happen.
