This will probably be the shortest weekend recap I've ever done! We have done so little, there really isn't much to write about.
Friday, after Jo Anne and Mike left, we had dental appointments. Got that done, except we both need to see an endodontist for some work on a cracked cap (me) and some major work on the two caps Joe lost a few months ago. It's always something.
Saturday morning, I went to Publix for a few things, including prescriptions. I picked up a few things in advance of the dinner I am planning for our neighbors. One couple will be leaving for a month and the other couple for three months. We wanted to get together before they all take off and Wednesday evening is the one that works for all of us.
Yesterday (Sunday) I did laundry, Helen and Cheryl stopped by to say hello, and Joe wanted Chinese for his Father's Day dinner so we ordered delivery. Both boys talked with their dad. Sure miss seeing them. 😞
Today Joe sees the pain management doc for a followup to the injections he got in his back. He is still struggling with sciatica so I hope they have some suggestions for him. Tuesday we both see a new orthopedic doc over in Tampa. If Monday doesn't bring relief, hoping the new doctor has a solution for him. I will keep you posted!

I sure hate it that Joe hasnt gotten relief from the sciatica. As you know, the injection works for me, so maybe a new doc can help. Sometimes a quiet weekend, after being so busy, is welcome! Hugs

ReplyDeleteSounds like it was a good plan for the weekend.... My sciatica was helped greatly by PT... If you can find a good therapist it may help... I have been diligent about doing my excercises... so far so good.

ReplyDeleteIt's really nice to have a kind of boring weekend after being so busy, but I know you would have loved to have your boys with you. I am hopeful with you that Joe will get some relief. A cracked cap! Ugh. You're right. It's always something. I hope you have a good week.

I know you had a wonderful week last week with your family, and it is somewhat of a let down when our company goes away, but then again, it is always good to get back to our routines and rest a bit. We had such a great trip, but it sure felt good to get home to our own bed!!!!!
