Friday Foto Friends Time...

It's time to link up with Deb over at Breathing In Grace for her Friday Foto Friends meme!  Thanks for hosting each week, Debbie!

Joe's client (on the farm/ranch) asked us to come down on Thursday, instead of Wednesday, because she had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday.  I had my facial appointment yesterday morning, so we told her we would be there around 1:00.  Of course, our summertime afternoon rains have started and that brings some interesting scenes that we don't usually see in the mornings.

Just look at that menacing sky as we drove back the lane to the house!!

Some of the cattle were hanging out in the lane.

They look at the car like they are daring it to come closer! LOL

I waited for awhile on these few and actually ended up honking the horn at them.
It worked. The big one on the left actually jumped when I honked.

Roho and Coby were hanging out with me, and yes - they were both on the picnic table
under cover of the rain.  We had a love-in and I got lots of "kisses"!
The cats get on the counters and table at home, but I've never seen a dog jump up on a table!
Both of these guys seemed quite comfortable with being up there!  Ha!!
Who was I to tell them to get down?  😁

They are bird-sitting their daughter's parrot. He is beautiful and very vocal!

The Guinea hens decided to hang out under cover. They are SO noisy!

And here they are, leading us out when Joe was finished with his work.
Blessed that he felt like going and held up well for the 3-hours we were there!

The gas gauge told us to fill up the tank.  We always find the best
price for gasoline at Sam's Club.

And that is my sweetie putting gas in the tank and it was still raining.

No Florida sunshine photos or clear blue skies this week.  Today we go back to see Dr. Band at the Express Care clinic.  He is the first walk-in doctor who ever asked us to come back so he could check up on how Joe is doing with the compression sleeve and the hematoma.  We are really impressed with him!  Just as a reminder, our primary couldn't see Joe for three days and we were worried enough that we took a chance on the Express Care clinic associated with the clinic where our primary doctor is. It was a good call if I do say so.  Our primary did call (her nurse called) and we told them to check the notes from Dr. Band.

The weekend is nearly here and so is JULY!!  How can that be??  Summer is speeding by at warp speed!! Yikes!  Do you have plans for Independence Day?

Thanks for your visit!!  Peace & hugs!

  1. Your trip to the farm is always enjoyable, and so glad Joe felt like going. I agree on summer flying by....it is hard to believe we are almost at July 4th. No plans here, other than the ususal. Hope you have a good Friday and upcoming weekend.

  2. Love your farm photos! Love seeing the cows...and it's fun that you got to drive right up close and personal to them. And those doggies look so happy to see you. That bird is amazing, and so are the guineas. I know you look forward to this weekly outing, and so do we! We get to share in your joy at the farm!! Yes, the rains come here most every afternoon, accompanied by some thunder and lightning. We enjoy the rain to cool things off for a minute of two (Ha!), but not so much the lightning. Enjoy your weekend. WE do not have any plans for the 4th as of yet. Too much else has been going on to think about it. Maybe by Wed. we will have a plan! God bless you and have a wonderful week.

  3. Just got back from a week on the coast....didn't want to be there during the holiday-escape-time. Planning a quiet weekend at home sleeping in our own bed. Today, I'm catching up with my blogs. Glad to read that Joe was feeling well enough to go to the farm. So sorry he's in so much pain still. Send him our love, please, and have a wonderful week.

  4. Same sky here in Venice yesterday afternoon. You get used to the summer weather patterns, and I don't mind the storms so much, but it's hard to plan anything outside. I've learned the forecast is really only a suggestion, because the weather report can say it's currently sunny, but it can be pouring on your house lol

  5. My plans for the 4th are to stay home. lol We live in a summer tourist area and it will be mobbed. We can see fireworks from our house so no need to go out.
    Have a great day!

  7. My sister is coming to visit at the end of the holiday week for three days! Excellent plans!
How much are you paying for gas? Ours is about $2.42 in most places but one station has it for $2.39.

  10. Oh my goodness, but those skies! We had some scary weather pass through yesterday afternoon … the weather radio went off 6 times! My kids are coming for burgers and brats tomorrow, but we've no plans for the 4th. It's so dang hot and humid I'd just prefer watching the festivities and big bands on television.

  12. Just been backtracking on some of your posts Terri. I'm glad to hear Joe is improving after his fall. Bruising when on blood thinners is always so dramatic. You took some great pictures on your farm visit. Look forward to a picture of your new glasses. Definitely pays to shop around. Have a great weekend.

  17. Love those cloud pics. What a lovely place you get to go to each week!

We were hoping to go to our very favorite fireworks on Sunday evening at a park in Lancaster County, but we're reconsidering. We've put an awfully lot of gas through my van's tank in the past week due to our camping trip and then Destiny's hospitalization.
