Friday Foto Friends....

Friday has rolled around again and that means it is time to link-up with Deb at Breathing In Grace for her Friday Foto Friends!!  Visit Deb and join in HERE!

I have a few photos to share today. Nothing really exciting, but just a little peek at my week....

Wednesday, I went with Joe to the ranch while he worked with his clients.
I take my Kindle so I can read and the perfect place is on their back patio
which overlooks this field where the horses had gathered.
Peaceful and beautiful.
I did walk down to the fence later and they all came to me
for some attention. So great!!

Lucy loves watching the for-cats video of birds.
We've been doing this nearly every day for five-six
minutes.  She jumps up on the arm of the chair
and I have to put the video on.

The project I mentioned a few days ago is in progress.
We need a thin shelf to go beside one of the twin beds in
the 2nd guest room. I found a shelf at Hobby Lobby
and am painting it black to match the beds.
The spray can I bought is AWFUL though. It is leaking
and spraying all over.  I will have to touch it up with a brush, I'm sure.
I won't mention the black paint on two fingers and under my nails.
Grrrrrrrr.  (When it is finished, I'll take a picture of it installed.)
I did get the latex gloves out for the second coat.

Wishing you a happy Friday and I thank you for your visit!!  Peace & hugs.

  1. I was surprised to see all the ranches in our area. It never occurred to me to see so many horses and cattle in coastal Florida. I think there is some kind of big show jumping horse event soon just down the road.

  2. Very nice scenery to watch while you wait for Joe.

I learned the hard way to always wear gloves while spray painting. Now if I could only learn to check the wind direction so my arms and clothes didn't get sprayed. lol

    Have a great day!

  3. Lucy is so pretty! I keep a box of gloves handy for such jobs...the shelf will complete the room for sure.

  4. I love when animals watch tv or the computer. They say that's a sign of a smart animal.

  6. That is just too cute that your cats wants to watch bird videos, hahahaha!! I'm eager to see that shelf in your guest room. I have not done much spray painting. Sometime I'll give it a try - with gloves on!

  7. So glad you're able to go with Mr. Joe on his jaunts now! That looks like such a peaceful place to sit and read....or take a nap! ;-) I hate it when a spray paint can does that...the one I used yesterday was a dud, too...so aggravating. Looking forward to seeing the shelf installed. Thanks so much for sharing...and again, I'm sorry to be so slack in visiting. Today is the first day this week that I've stayed home and not been busy most of the day...and it's boring...LOL!!! Happy Friday. HOPE you have a great weekend.

  8. I love how Lucy watches the video! They have such great personalities don't they?
That seems like a nice afternoon spent by the horses. I would love that.
I can't wait to see how your shelf turns out.
I spray painted and glittered small trees for a sweet 16 party in December and boy was I a mess! I did it in the yard by the back fence which is now bright silver and sparkly in places! ;)
    Happy Friday!

  9. I love Lucy. Fun cat watching the birds. That is indeed a peaceful scene with the horses, not so much the spray paint. I feel your pain.

  11. My daughter has videos for her cats to watch also. It is fun to watch them watch the tv. I am eager to see your shelf on the wall. I know that it will look great! I have had a can of spray paint leak before. It is downright aggravating.

  13. Oh, you've been bitten by the retirement project bug! Ha Ha!! I love projects, but yes, they can be messy! I'm sure it will all turn out well. Love the picture of the horses. Looks like a lovely place to sit. Kitty looks like she enjoys the birds...but I hope she doesn't get to see any in real life up TOO close!! LOL. Enjoy your days...retirement is great!!
