If it's Thursday, Friday can't be far away! I am linking up with Rebecca Jo, at Knit By God's Hand, for her Thankful Thursday meme.
I am so thankful that I got to meet my blogging friend, Cheryl, in person this week! And her husband Pat. Great fun and such a blessing.
Thankful for co-workers and friends who are like family. Gregory came over on Saturday to help move a refrigerator and to hang our art on the walls. Nearly four hours given to us. I need to include Matt, too, who came to help with the refrigerator. Such a blessing. We will take them out to eat soon.
Thankful for our friends, Teena and Randy. Teena is also our barber and is the one who helped us sell our house to another client of hers. We are taking them to dinner tomorrow night to thank them for making it all happen by getting us together with the Bayhans. Blessed.
Thankful for our son, Joey, who is coming this weekend to help us (again) put beds together and to bring things over from the storage unit. The loft is waiting for Christmas decorations and we can be done with that monthly expense! Such a blessing!
Thankful that the railings on our new front stoop will be installed on Monday!! I will feel so much safer then! Love the new steps and landing/stoop! Blessed that we could get it done.
Thankful that I am nearly done with the coughing and cold, hoping Joe will soon be feeling better too. He is coughing and coughing and coughing. The doctor he saw today didn't give him any meds for it. Just told him he needed to get through it. It has been awful. Coricidin Night has been allowing him to sleep, thank goodness!
Thanks for your visit!! Check out Rebecca's blog if you have time! Peace & hugs!!

There is so much in our lives to be thankful for. You have some wonderful friends and family who are willing to be there for you and help you. That really is a blessing.
ReplyDeleteWhen someone gives their time to help, that's such a blessing.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're getting over that cold!!!
& YIIPEE for meeting blog buddies. That's always the coolest!

ReplyDeleteHappy you are finally getting over that cold. Hopefully Joe feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
It sounds like Joe might have had bronchitis. I have found that it often takes about six weeks for the coughing to subside. I am glad your cold seems to be on the downhill side!! My son in law came over the other night to take down a kitchen light fixture that needed cleaning. Marvin andI just cannot get up on a ladder and do that anymore. We have tall ceilings and while they look nice, they are not user friendly. :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun to get to meet a blogging friend. So glad you are getting so much help getting things completed. Hope you both feel better soon.
ReplyDeletegood friends and family make life worth living! so glad you are getting the end things in place and you can settle in. hope you and joe have gotten rid of those awful coughs...so aggravating. have a nice afternoon.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a 'feel-good' post! In turn, I'm prompted to pause and consider everyday, (extra)ordinary blessings in my own life. :)
ReplyDeleteWe do the same thing for people who help us out with things. We take them out to dinner.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun time! Glad you two could meet again.
