Weekend Update on Monday....

I wrote about the weekend yesterday, so there really isn't much else to report.  I did get the laundry done...my usual Sunday chore.

Today, Joe has an appointment with his regular doctor. I'll go home for lunch and then will take him to see Dr. Singh.  He has been coughing since he got home, so I want to ask her about that. He is also to get his first visit from one of the therapists. We are so anxious for that to get started.

Our Sunday was a very lazy day. Stayed in PJs until almost noon. Our weather is just beautiful right now! We've had windows and doors open to the fresh air! The Florida winter weather that we love so much has been with us the last few days.

I hope you all had a nice Valentine's Day. We have never really celebrated much past exchanging cards. I got one for Joe a week ago, before he got sick. He didn't have a chance to get one for me, but I told him just having him home is the best Valentine I could ever hope for.

Peace & hugs!!

  1. Keeping Joe in prayer, Terri...that crud is going around, just nasty stuff....ugh.

No windows open here, wink. Have a beautiful day and keeping you both in prayer.

  2. It was lovely to have the windows open yesterday. I'm glad you had a good, even though quiet, Valentine's Day. I hope that therapy starts today. Have a good day.

  3. I'm really tired of the hype ($$$$) surrounding Valentine's Day. My husband is the least romantic man on the planet and VD is somewhat depressing to me. That's why I did the post yesterday taking the day in a different direction. Any-who...that's totally enough about that little pet peeve...lol Happy Monday...hope Mr. Joe gets a good report at the doctor and the therapy begins!!!

  4. We aren't big on Valentines either.
Enjoy your nice weather. We woke up to snow again.
Hope Joe's appointments go well today.
    Have a great day!

  5. A lazy Sunday sounds like it's exactly what you needed. I know you're counting your blessings this Valentine's Day.

  6. Aren't 'pajama days' fun?! Our V-Day was really low-key, as well. Tom's developed a nasty cough, as well ... it's hard not to grow overly concerned, but there's so much 'stuff' going around.

I remember thoroughly enjoying Tampa/St. Pete's weather this time of year. Almost no humidity!!!

  8. We dont do Valentine's Day either, other than tease each other. I had bought Jim a new pair of shoes to wear around the house, and told him that was his present. We laughed it off. Am anxious to know if the PT is started and if it is helping. Keep us posted. P.J. day has been about a week and a half by now, so thankful to get up and get regular clothes on. Even tho pouring rain, I am happy to be able to breathe and no sore throat. I started taking Theraflu nightime severe cold and cough. Is that what you took? It sure worked.

    1. Yes to your Theraflu question. It does work great! As to the PT...not a peep today. We figured it's the holiday, even though the woman on Friday said we would see someone today. Sigh. If not tomorrow, I'll be warpath woman again!!

  11. We don't do much for Valentine's Day either, we didn't even exchange cards this year. We did go out to eat, that was nice. We've had a very mild winter this year, I was really hoping for colder days, summer will be here soon enough. The heat and humidity seem to bother me more than it used to. Hope all continues to go well for Joe.
