Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 255
1. Create an acrostic using the word LOVE. If you're unsure what an acrostic is clickhere.
Listening to the voices of
Our wonderful family and friends, we feel
Very blessed by the prayers and good thoughts from
Everyone we know, and even from some we don't.
2. Does love really conquer all? Yes. Why or why not? God's love is the perfect love that really does conquer all.
3. Tell us about a time recently, where you really put your heart into something. Getting Joe some help during his stroke. Whew!
4. What's your favorite fictional love story? I love so many but the first one that came to mind was "While You Were Sleeping". I also get weepy over "Sleepless in Seattle".
5. Do you generally wear your heart on your sleeve, or keep your cards close to the vest? I think I generally wear my heart on my sleeve.
6. What food says love to you? Oh my....Granny Kelly's fried chicken; my mom's homemade chicken and noodles; Joe's mom's homemade pasta.... Why? Because they cooked for us with love and even with their recipes, the food never tastes like it did when prepared by them.
7. When were you last 'tickled pink' over something? So happy to have my Joe at home. Explain. No explanation necessary!
8. Insert your own random thought here. Not so random, but we had good news today! Joe is home! His physical therapy evaluation went so well that he doesn't qualify for in-patient therapy. He will have three sessions a week of physical therapy for his balance issues; occupational therapy for his hand; and speech therapy for the swallowing muscles. I am happy and Joe is happy. We just hope the therapists get here and get started!! Thanks again for all the prayers and good thoughts!! We have felt the love from everyone!

So glad to hear your happy news! There's definitely something about mom/grandmom's home cooking, isn't there. There's so much love in home made food.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to hear your good news!!! Welcome home to Joe :)
ReplyDeleteKathy
Oh, this is such great news...God is so good! Mr. Joe is blessed to have you!!
ReplyDeletegreat random thought
ReplyDeleteGreat answers. And I am happy, too. Glad he's back home with you. Wonderful. Great timing on this Hodgepodge, because it really is God's love that conquers all and your acrostic included your love and support of friends and family.
ReplyDeleteI am just so happy to think of you guys at home together tonight! Thank you, Lord!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how well Joe is doing. God is at work!
ReplyDeleteJumping up and down here with the news that Joe got to come home. How wonderful! So much nicer to recuperate at home. I like both movies you mentioned. Another I might add would be "You've Got Mail". My grandma would make home made chicken and dumplings in her pressure cooker - rolling out the dough and cutting it into strips to dry. Many wonderful memories there! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing news!! I am thrilled for you! Will continue to keep you in my prayers. I am so happy for you!
ReplyDeleteGreat news!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you and Joe, that he is doing so well they let him come home! Loved your acrostic, very good. Enjoy your day and God Bless.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for you that Joe is home and doing good. I haven't been on recently and missed this whole thing. My prayers are with you both. I know what it is like to have your hubby dealing with bad illness. Good prayers and thoughts to you. Hugs, LJ
ReplyDeleteI was sad to read about Joe's medical situation. I'm glad that he is on the mend. I am also jealous that you get to see Spring Training baseball. Tigers, Phillies, Cardinals...it doesn't really matter for two reasons. (1) It's pro baseball, and (2) It's not the Yankees! All the best with Joe's recovery!
ReplyDeleteHi Terri ... it's nice to meet you!
ReplyDeleteThis acrostic is great. It sure brought back memories of our friends' outpouring of support when my hubby first fell ill.
Reading your profile, it seems we've lots in common. I look forward to coming back again! :)
So glad that Joe is home! What a scary event. A dear friend at school lost his wife just yesterday. She's been sick for years but flip flopped often. This last time was the last time. Keep us posted on Joe's recovery! I hope it goes well. And fast!
