Tuesday Update....
Today, Joe's blood pressure went up and was not stable. THEN one of the nurses decided the cuff was too small and got a bigger cuff. Guess what! His blood pressure was good. BUT...the bad stats had already been sent to the rehab facility and they wouldn't take him until his BP was stable.
So... now the doctor has signed off on his release. The rehab folks have accepted him. But we are waiting again on the insurance company to approve. Hoping for tomorrow. It's been two days of waiting, but there must be a good reason for it. We are trusting that.
We were told that Joe gets to wear his own clothing at Bannasch (I packed his suitcase tonight to take to him tomorrow). He will have a private room, but will have three hours of therapy each day. He was evaluated today, and has a little balance problem that we didn't notice, so they will work on that, his hand and his throat muscles. This place has washers and dryers, a kitchen... I laughed with the nurse that if they can teach him to do laundry and to cook, I'll be more than thrilled!! LOL
I am going back to work tomorrow. I, at least, have to get payroll done. Joe will call me when they get ready to transfer him from B wing fourth floor to the E wing 5th floor. I'll head over there to see him get checked in and settled. The hospital is only 10 minutes from my work.
We have a friend who is also in the hospital. I visited her today for a few minutes.
Thanks for checking in again, and for your prayers. We really do feel the love surrounding us!
Peace & hugs.

Good, things are moving. I hope you are getting some rest too.
ReplyDelete3 hours of therapy a day is really good. Glad to hear this report. God brings you both to mind frequently, and so you are prayed for often. :)
ReplyDeleteOne little snag, but all seems to be going well. That's great!
ReplyDeleteProgress can be slow...but you're blessed with patience, sweet Lady. Continued prayers for Mr. Joe...and his wife!!! (I'd be really grateful if my hubby would learn to do laundry, cook...and run a vacuum!!!) 😂
ReplyDeleteI hope by now he's settling in to his temporary home and you are feeling slightly less stressed 😀
ReplyDeleteKeeping you in prayer.....
ReplyDeletePatience is sure hard at times like this but it will all work out. Continuing to pray.
ReplyDeleteAh, the frustrations of the hospital experience! The graphics you posted about patience are really good. I continue to pray for you and Joe. Thank you for taking the time to update us. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHoping that the transfer to rehab will go smoothly.
ReplyDeleteKeep us updated. *hug*
Praying for you two, Terri. Just think, when Joe gets back home you'll no longer have to be the one doing laundry or cooking! Praying that all goes well.
ReplyDeleteWell there must be a reason for the delay - but now it's on. Three hours a day is great. Do they know how long he will be in there? God bless!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update on Joe. Waiting is hard... I hope, by now, Joe is settled in for his rehab, and I pray his recovery will be a complete one. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteLove and prayers,
Kathy (Reflections)
