Tuesday Tidbits.....



Well, Joe's brother Lou sent these to me by email.  I am not old enough to remember these, but thought they were interesting enough to share with you.  Some are just hilarious while others are really kind of sad (or a lot sad).  Times have sure changed for the better!!  Make note of the one that says 'you will get more dates if you gain 10 pounds' !!! LOL

    Those are good - - - and I agree about Sabrina - - wonder what kind of bra she was wearing? My thoughts are it was that one that made women look like they had two cones on their chest.
    Asthma cigarettes - - - - as we well know, cigarettes cause asthma and COPD and cancer, etc. I remember cigarette ads, too - - - especially the Malboro man!

    Those are so funny, times sure have changed. oops...I just looked up and Linda wrote the same thing! lol Great minds think alike. I remember LUX soap and cigarette commercials on TV. Long ago and far away!

    You are so right. Some of them are sad. But gee, the rest are hilarious. I especially laughed at the Bell and Howell projection. Really?????!!!! I definitely remember Ivory, lux and cigarette commercials. A,though they were more modern versions.

    I agree, Terri. I don't know if they're funny or horrifying. They're really fun to see, and I'm so glad you shared them with us. We've come a long way, as you said, but one thing remains the same: advertisers will still fudge on the truth to sell a product, just like politicians do.
