Finally Friday.....

When I got home from work yesterday, Joe told me another therapist had been there working with him.  We are finally getting the attention we need!  Joe has more exercises to do with his arm, shoulder, wrist and hand.  The physical therapist said working with the arm will strengthen the muscles and stimulate the wrist and hand. He will be seeing Rick for PT and Alice for OT. This is all good. Hoping that insurance will approve a few more weeks because right now we only have two to go.

I'm having lunch with Bonnie today, so Joe is on his own. He said he can handle a PBJ or cheese sandwich on his own.  It's been a long time since Bonnie and I got to spend some time together. She is making lunch for us at her house.

Tonight, our friends, Helen and Cheryl, are coming over to share some meatless pizza with us. Tomorrow, after Mass, I think we are having dinner with friends, Al and Lucille. Lucille gave us soup last week.

Joe has a haircut appointment Saturday morning.  He still isn't allowed to drive, so I'm his ride.  We need to pick up his suit from the cleaners and we need to get his shirt, cumberbund and tie from a men's store so he will be ready for The Gala on the 26th.

Glad it's Friday, but seems like we have a busy weekend ahead of us. Hopefully Sunday will be quiet.

Thanks for visiting with me today!  Peace & hugs!

  3. It's like nothing ever happened to him. Amazing. You are a blessing in how you can jump right back into life after a scare like that. You are my inspiration friend.

    1. Michelle, trust me when I say I am still somewhat traumatized over it, but the best thing I can do is carry on. We can't let Joe become an invalid over this, and we are so blessed that he is intact, with only his hand to work on.
