In 1976, Joe was the Chief of the local Indian Guides group. It was a YMCA program, like Boy Scouts. Joey and Jeff were in Indian Guides. Their Indian names were Joe-Dark Cloud, Joey-Bright Cloud, and Jeff-Light Cloud.
Joe wore his Chief's headdress at the Thanksgiving table that year, as a joke. Loretta (Joe's late wife) took several photos of the group. It was long before I knew any of them. They still lived in Pennsylvania when this was taken. I think he looks quite dashing as an Indian Chief!!

Even in places where Thanksgiving is not celebrated (or celebrated on the 4th Thursday in November like ours is) —it can be a time for each of us to take time to thank God for our blessings and also not to forget the “Giving” in the word, ThanksGIVING. We all have lots of blessings —but many times, we ignore the giving part….Not just on Thanksgiving Day, but all of the time, please take time to contact family/friends just to say HI… And remember that a big SMILE can lift someone’s day…. Little things like that can really HELP..
