Tuesday Tidbits...

Nothing new to report, really.

The house painting was stalled because of rain last weekend. He did what he could, but has to finish this weekend. It is looking nice, though. Freshened up!  We will talk about landscaping this week, so can hopefully have a few plants in before company arrives for Thanksgiving.

I have my annual echo cardiogram this morning. Not expecting trouble.

Joe is getting some little "honey do" things done that have been on his list forever awhile.  Nice that this and that are getting done!

We bought one of those "pencil" trees to use for Christmas this year. It is a compromise to not putting one up at all.  I volunteered to host the annual "girlfriends" Christmas get-together, on December 12th. I guess it will be nice to have some decorations up and to be a little festive. I just need to get "in the mood"....

Update:  I found this photo on Google Images. Pencil trees are skinny, so you can tuck them into a corner or tight space.  I won't have to rearrange the furniture, hopefully, with ours.  It is 7 feet tall, but 'pencil thin'!!  We got one that is pre-lit.  Found it a Big Lots for a great price!

I hope you are having a good Tuesday! Thanks for stopping by! Peace & blessings!

  2. I like those pencil trees too, but this year we wont be able to have a tree in the house, due to 2 cats who would destroy it, so we will put another live one, on the porch, and plant after. I know you will be happy to have the painting done, as well as landscaping and the little 'to do's'.

  3. Big confession here - I have no idea what a pencil tree is, so I'll have to Google it. :-) I do like to put up a wee tree in the house and a large tree on the front porch. Have a wonderful day, Terri, and saying a prayer for you re. the echo cardiogram.

  4. I bet your pencil tree is going to look so nice and what a great solution when you don't want to rearrange furniture! Good for Joe for getting the honey do list items checked off! Walt has a list and he is trying his best to get things done but he has been working 60+ hours a week right now. I feel bad asking him to do stuff..lol. Well not really..he is installing wood flooring in the living room this weekend..lol.

  6. I haven't been to Big Lots for years. I can't wait to get my Christmas tree. I saw a version of it that was too big for my space and then my friend made me a smaller one, but as she needs to make another one the same size, I'm patiently waiting. It's early for me to put up a Christmas tree too. I like yours.
