Thankful Thursday....

I took some photos this morning, of our bare landscaping.  It wasn't real sunny out yet at 6:45 a.m., but you can at least see what it looks like "before"....

The pile of bushes that were removed.

The front bed (and our windsock).

The side where the AC and pool pump are located.

The other side of the house, where we store the trash can.

From my car, backing out of the driveway...through a very buggy windshield.

Joe picked me up for lunch today, and we also went to the Sherwin Williams store to get the paint. They DID give us our painter's discount, which saved us almost $200. So thankful that he told us to ask for it!

So - on this thankful Thursday, I am (again) thankful for people in our lives who are honest and helpful!!  Also for my cyber-friends! Thanks for stopping by!! Have a good Thursday! Peace & blessings!

  5. Yours will be one of those houses that are on the tour list soon. I can't wait to see what you have put in the beds either.

I posted the roll recipe that is my favourite in the comments in your post from yesterday. I usually leave the dough in the fridge overnight

    1. Thanks for the recipe, Brenda! I have posted it under my recipe tab, so I don't lose it. Seems easy enough for even me to do! Thanks!!

  6. Hi Terri, Your home looks very different from others I see from Florida --full of wonderful plants/trees/shrubs/flowers all year long... What will you put in the yard after painting? New shrubs? I hope I never get to the place where I can't work in the yard --or have flowerbeds... BUT--maybe sometime I will have to do just that... Most people around here have yard services --but we enjoy doing our own as long as we are able.... Good Luck with the painting.

    Hugs,
    Betsy

    1. Betsy, we have hired DeWayne to decide what will look good. I don't like yard work, and even if I did, my knees would not permit me to get out there and work in the beds. But...I hate yard work. I don't want to have to cover anything in February, when it gets cold a couple of nights and I don't want to have to water twice a week. Whatever he puts in has to be drought-friendly and cold-hardy. I want it to look nice, but not have to touch it.

  7. OHHHHHH Can't wait to see the finished product(s).

Terri--I have transfer credits, however, since I changed "direction" and going into the adoloscent teaching instead of elem., that is why I am taking all the "new' classes..I did not have these classes before..well..psych I did, but not the new classes/others...as for PE, it is mandatory in the state of NY! HOWEVER, it looks to be changed sometime soon, the vote is coming up. AND rumor has it, that PE will not be required. It is all good, I am happy with what I am doing and the change in direction. My "freshman" classes end this Semester. Starting in Jan. it will be upper classes. I guess NY is diffferent then FL--here, NY has alot of requirements, some of the transfer credits from FL were not allowed because they were not enough credits or the wrong credits. I'm telling you, NY is strict, it is ridiculous. It's fine, all good...I will be just overqualified when I get done, wink.

    1. You are probably over-qualified to begin with!! I'm just sorry you have to go through all those classes again. Wasn't being 'nosy' but was just confused about why you had to endure all those math and freshman classes again. Thanks for letting me know (and not telling me to take a flying leap off the cliff!).
