1. It's International Skeptics day - what are you skeptical about? Any claim that seems too good to be true. Anything a Democrat says.
2. Wednesday is National Hat Day - what is your favorite hat? Do you wear hats often? I look horrid in hats. Seriously. Never wear them, unless I am up north in the cold.
3. What one movie or two would you say should be on everyone's must see list? Oh my, I can't name just one or two. I love movies. You can't go wrong with any of Fred Astaire's movies, just for starters!! Our collection, at home, is over 700 titles.
4. If they were going to make a reality show about your life what would it be called? Getting Old Ain't For Sissies.
5. Does anyone else have trouble getting started on Monday mornings? I am usually a morning person, but Mondays are SO hard for me!
I love your answer to #1! I can't wear hats either, I always look ridiculous in them, but I love them on other people.
ReplyDeleteI love your reality show. Since I've retired I love to take my time in the morning. I hate the days I have to rush. It feels too much like work.

I can't think of any 'must see' movies. The old classics, maybe -- not all, but some. I also like Fred Astaire.
I like the name of your reality show. I wonder who would play your part. LOL
I don't have trouble with Mondays.... being retired makes it much easier to cope with it. However, I'm NOT a morning person, therefore I have trouble with Monday, Tuesday, etc.

Chuckling at #1, I would have to add to that, ANY politician at this point and time. I wear hats, love them. I am not a morning person, I prefer peace & quite until I get a cup of coffee..Blessings

#1 - Would be any Demoncrat and nearly any Republican who isn't Libertarian.
#2 - I wear Baseball caps a lot but that's because I enjoy yardwork.
#3 - Hands down "Best Years Of Our Lives". Very profound, heartwarming, funny, sweet, etc.
#4 - "A Show About Nothing" *lol*
I love Mondays but that's because I'm retired and all the bad kids are back in school and their lazy parents are back at work. "Get off my lawn ..." [shaking my fist at the sky] *roflol*

I agree with you about the films. Mondays are one of the days when I finish late. I don't imagine anybody likes Mondays. I always think of the sonG 'I Don't Like Mondays'.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is #1, hands down. I get up at the same time I did when I was working...this old body was programmed for so many years, it just wont change. I do like to get up, have my 2 cups of coffee, read my email, and then eat something around 10 or 11...which is totally different from when I worked. Love any uplifting, happy, funny movie. Arent many around today, so I opt for the oldies too.

I agree with all your comments except the movies. I don't think I could narrow it to one but "It's a Wonderful Life" and "Pollyanna" and "Faith Like Potatoes" rank in the top five.

ReplyDeleteI'd much rather enjoy the quiet solitude of early mornings also!!! Makes no difference which day it is. As for your movies?--------a collection of 700?!! Whoa, am I impressed or what?!! The 2nd half of your #1 answer made me giggle.
