I should really be ashamed!

A few chores were accomplished today, but not many!!  I posted on Facebook that I really should have just put on clean pajamas, this morning, after my shower.  I have the laundry almost done, and played with wreath making (thanks, Lynda, for the video!!), changed out my purse, and little else.  We had breakfast for dinner, so I didn't even really cook today.  Slug is what I've been.

Tomorrow morning, I am attending the swearing in of our new Mayor, Howard Wiggs, and our City Commissioners.  One of the new Commissioners, Jim Malless, is a friend (and Museum Board member).  My boss is going too.  Tomorrow afternoon (4:30) I see the Chiropractor again. My back is a little better except for the lower back, which still hurts like the dickens. Maybe one more visit will help.

Back on the low carb lifestyle tomorrow. Not calling it a diet. I'm actually ready - sick of all the junk I've been eating.  I'm such a mess - no will power and no common sense.

I really have nothing else to report! It's just been a do-nothing day.  Oh, I did lift this photo (from her Facebook page), of my beautiful niece, Sara, and her boyfriend, Matt.  Sara is my brother's daughter. She graduated from Ohio University and is teaching now. Matt is a great guy and is in med school. The whole family likes him, and Sara is very happy. Hoping we will have a wedding to attend one of these days....

I am (we are) so proud of her!!  My brother would also be proud, and I think he would really like Matt.  We lost my brother to cancer when Sara was just 15 years old.

Wishing everyone a great week ahead!!  Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment!  Peace, love & hugs.

  1. I love lazy days too. We don't have school tomorrow, so we get an extra lazy day. Too cold to go outside.

  3. She is adorable, Terri! I have something in common with her. I lost my dad when I was only 19. So I understand what it is to go through milestones without your dad in your life. I was blessed, though, to have him for the years I did, and we were super close.

I have been laxy, too. Blogging and not much nmore. Just tired from all the hub-bub.

  4. Sunday is a day of rest so don't feel guilty! I am excited to see what your wreath looks like. Do you have Hobby Lobby in the area? Some of that wreath ribbon was 40% off last week - - - but they always have coupons in the paper, internet, or on a phone app. Somewhere I was reading that we are NOT to look at any of it as a diet - - but rather the mindset that we are eating healthier and incorporating more activity in our lifestyle. Praying your back is much improved after your next dr visit.

  5. You're suppose to be lazy and guilt free on the weekends. Go with it!

Hope the new politicians are honest and not corrupt. If they're not Libertarian they'll be more of the same 'ol, same 'ol.

So sorry to hear you lost a brother to cancer. You must miss him terribly. I lost my mother when I was 10 yrs old. One never quite gets over it.

And I pray your back is pain free soon. It's terrible to ache like that. One feels trapped in one's body sometimes. Many surgeries later, I sure understand.

It's gotten cold and wet again! We sure are having a real winter this year. Maybe Spring will produce lots of lovely flowers?! ~:)

  7. Lazy days are the best kind, because we all did a lot of things during the holidays with one of them being eating too much. I also had breakfast for dinner last night. I made a cheese omelette, but then I had just a bit of the apple butter I made on a piece of toast.

Hope your back feels better soon too.

  10. A lazy day is all right every now and again. You are a very active person, so I can understand what you mean about feeling like a slug on a lazy day.
I'm sorry about your brother. My brother had cancer, but thankfully a bone marrow transplant saved him. It always grieved me to think about the possibility that he wouldn't see his son grow up.
Your niece is lovely and I hope for good things for the couple, too.

  12. Your niece is beautiful. Such a young age to lose a father.
Hope you're having a good Monday.

  13. I hear you about the needing fresh pajamas, shower and a lazy day. We deserve it. It is hard though to not feel guilty about being laid back, for our generations.
