Monday, Monday....

Our Board meeting was not well attended today, but we did have a quorum so it was good. Nice to have it over, and we don't have one in December.

We are hearing lots of good things about our Fall Festival and all the events we had going on over the three days! It was all a success.  Our staff photographer, Gregory, hasn't downloaded his photos yet, so I can't borrow any to share, but another co-worker, Kalisa, posted this photo of Gregory photographing....

I have my church women's meeting tonight (always the third Monday of the month), and am selling pecans after Mass this coming Saturday. There are so many groups selling pecans as a fund raiser! I am supposed to sell pecans for the DAR, at the Farmer's Market on December 8th, but I just got an email that we only have two cases left, so hopefully that means I won't have to be there at 7:00 a.m. selling nuts!!  It will be nice if my Council's pecans go just as fast.

Tomorrow, I have been invited to enjoy the Jr. League's Garden tour of Lakeland's Hollis Gardens, and then have lunch at the Garden Bistro. That will be great fun!!

Not much else to talk about today. It's a busy week ahead, as well as Thanksgiving week after that. I hope you all had a good weekend!! Thanks for stopping by.  Peace, love & hugs.

  1. Glad the board meeting is behind you. Hope you sell lots of pecans either after church or for the DAR, if you have to go. Hope you take some pictures of the garden tour - I know it will be beautiful and nice to see flowers this time of year. Hugs

  2. Wonderful that you don't have a Board meeting in December. I loathe our flat owners' meetings, which seem to be too frequent for my liking. Enjoy your garden tour and lunch. Hope you don't get rain for that.

  3. Enjoy the garden tour and lunch. BTW, got a turkey today. 48 cents a lb for a 26 lb bird. Didn't even pay $13. Have a blessed week.

  4. So Terri, does that mean that November is the time of year when the pecans are ripe? Do you have a pecan tree in your yard? Boy, if I could have a pecan tree next to my McIntosh tree and then a chocolate tree, I'd be all set. lol

  5. Are pecans in season? I don't think I have ever seen them anywhere but grocery store. Enjoy your tour and lunch

  6. Kim and Judy, I have no idea when pecan season is, but this time of year is a good time for organizations to do the fund raisers. They come to us packaged in 1 pound bags, ready to use in holiday recipes! Pecans don't grow in central Florida. We have oranges here!

  9. I would love to go with you to the Hollis Gardens, especially as winter finally hit us smack in the face. I want to go back to Borrego Springs.
