Attn: St. Augustine Sheila....

One of my blogging friends, Sheila, lives in (or near) St. Augustine, and we have been trying to connect so we can meet as we head out tomorrow.  St. Augustine would be a great place for our first stop along the way, and meeting another blogging friend in person would be "icing on the cake" so I'm hoping (you) she sees this!  My email is  tdorsaneo@gmail.com  So Sheila, if it is possible to do this, please email me so we can get some information.  How fun this will be!!

We are nearly packed, the pork roast and potatoes are in the crock pot for company at 4:00 and I only have a couple more loads of laundry to finish tonight.  When we start out, the house will be clean and the laundry as caught up as possible. Whew.

The cats know something is up. They want attention and it is breaking my heart. I hate being away for so long, but I know they will be well cared for.

I need to bake an angel food/pineapple cake for our dessert, and we can take leftovers with us. It will make a good snack in the hotel room for us (if there are leftovers).

Still things to do. Is it worth it?  Yes, I think it definitely is. Especially connecting with family, friends, and blogging friends along the way!!

Peace, love & hugs!!

  1. Hope your friend sees this and you can meet up. Dinner smells good! I've just made some delicious cornbread (from a mix that I made up, so I know it doesn't have a lot of salt and absolutely no sugar). Poor kitties, though you know they'll be fine. ¡Buen viaje!

  2. I am jealous of your upcoming trip. Jim and I used to love to pack up and hit the road, but I feel we have probably been on our last adventure. Sure hope your friend sees your blog and gets in touch with you. Be safe, the kitties will be fine. Sending love, prayers and a big hug my friend.

  3. Yes, it is definitely worth it - - - once you are on the road - - but it does definitely start to wear a person out before they get gone. Also, it takes a bit to catch up when you return - - - but the trip is so refreshing to our spirit as we connect with loved ones. Guess we will hear from you on the road!
